    • The invention relates to a device for producing knitted fabric comprising a knitting machine and at least one roving drawing and strengthening unit. The at least one roving drawing and strengthening unit has a roving supply unit, by means of which a roving can be provided in the form of a fiber bundle that has not been strengthened, a stretching unit, to which the roving can be fed in a roving conveying direction in the form of at least one sliver, and a spinning nozzle device, by means of which compressed air can he applied to a drawn roving exiting the stretching unit in a fiber strengthening segment. The invention further relates to methods for producing knitted fabric by means of a knitting machine and at least one roving drawing and strengthening unit. By means of the at least one roving drawing and strengthening unit, a roving is provided by a roving supply unit in the form of a fiber bundle that has not been strengthened, the roving is fed in a roving conveying direction in the form of at least one sliver, the roving is drawn by the stretching unit, and compressed air is applied to the drawn roving exiting the stretching unit by a spinning nozzle device in a fiber strengthening segment and said roving is thus strengthened.

    • A convertible circular knitting machine having mechanical main body, cylinder mechanisms, yarn feeders, and a fabric winding system. The cylinders are mounted on the top of the base of the main body. The upper and lower cylinder mechanisms are driven by synchronous shafts. The yarn is transmitted from yarn feeders to cylinders and then knitted to clothes and wound by the fabric winding system. The apparatus is characterized in that upper and lower cylinder mechanisms are all interchangeable so that the upper cylinder can be replaced with radial dust cleaning system. In addition, an upper support rack and a set of rings for feeding thread can be mounted on the base. Therefore, the present invention has multi-functions, wherein the upper and lower cylinders can be adjusted or replaced, or added with optional elements such as an upper support rack, rings for feeding thread and radial dust cleaning system in order to convert the model of producing fabric and offer a wide range of applications.

    • Dust particles generated in a circular knitting machine and a knit fabric manufacturing apparatus, which comprises a circular knitting machine and creels, are collected, thereby preventing the breakage of yarns and maintaining the quality of a knit fabric. There is provided an outer casing which is provided at the upper portion of the circular knitting machine and is open at the lower surfaces thereof and a dust collecting body which is provided inside the outer casing and has a cylindrical filter on which suction operation acts. There is provided an adjusting plate having a cylindrical portion between a knitting portion of the circular knitting machine and the dust collecting body, thereby sucking air including dust from the knitting portion. There is fixed a ring plate to the upper outer portion of the cylindrical portion, thereby sucking air including the dust from the portion close to the yarn supply device other than the knitting portion and the sucked air is cleaned by the filter. There is also provided a blowing nozzle inside the filter and a collecting nozzle outside the filter, thereby recovering the adsorbing capacity of the filter by collecting the dust stuck to the filter. There is provided a dust collector in a housing capable of collecting the dust. Detachable surfaces of the yarn packages of the yarn supply portion are covered by flexible curtains, thereby facilitating the replacing of the yarn packages.

    • An apparatus and method for knitting sliver fabric on a circular sliver knitting machine. An air blowing unit is attached to the machine so as to be oriented radially inward from the knitting cylinder and a card unit so as to blow air radially outwardly toward the needles. The air blowing unit blows air along generally horizontal longitudinal path toward the needles so as to turn free ends of the sliver fibers once the medial portions thereof have been knit into the fabric. A modified latched guard cooperates with air blowing unit for guiding free ends of the sliver fibers onto sinkers in a uniform and controlled manner to enable the free ends sliver fibers to be knit a second time by the adjacent needles.

    • An apparatus for removing lint and debris from circular knitting machines has a rotating arm positioned such that its distal end sweeps about the periphery of the machine.
