摘要： In one aspect, an article of footwear may include a knitted component having monofilament strands knitted substantially throughout and a body portion extending continuously from a heel region, along a lateral side of a midfoot region, over a forefoot region, to a medial side of the midfoot region. The body portion may include a plurality of multifilament courses forming an interior surface and an exterior surface. The body portion may include a first monofilament zone in the midfoot region extending diagonally toward the forefoot region, including a plurality of first monofilament areas forming at least a portion of the interior surface of the body portion and substantially having a medial-to-lateral orientation. The body portion may include a second monofilament zone including at a plurality of second monofilament areas forming at least part of the interior surface. The multifilament courses may define a shape of the first monofilament areas and a shape of the second monofilament areas.

摘要： This invention provides methods for finishing knitted fabrics and fabrics finished by the novel process. In one embodiment, the method of finishing a knitted fabric includes the steps of: (a) stretching the fabric above about 5% but less than about 25% in width, and above about (−)7% but less than about 10% in length, (b) heat-setting the fabric to the stretched width and length at a temperature above about 120 degrees Centigrade and lower than about 250 degrees Centigrade, and (c) applying a polymeric protective binder coating resin to the fabric at a concentration of at least 5% but less than 25% based on the weight of the fabric.

The ground yarns are intertwined and respectively form a tubular plain weft-knitted structure in which two ground yarns are alternately knitted so that wales formed by one ground yarn are interposed between two adjacent wales formed by the other ground yarn so that all the wales appear on the face of the fabric. The courses of each plain knitted structure include long sinker loops, the ground yarns being knitted into the respective plain-knitted ground fabric structure to form raised loops. The cover has high shrinking percentages both in radial and axial directions.

摘要： A one-piece seamless garment is knitted by a new method on an improved circular knitting machine. The garment includes a body portion with a pair of leg receiving opening, a pair of side panels and a front panel and a rear panel joined at a crotch between the leg openings. Each of the front and rear panels includes knitting courses formed during reciprocation of the machine that overlap the knitting courses of the other panel at the crotch. Other knitting courses are formed in the garment remote from the crotch and distributed among the courses that extend into the crotch to provide the garment with a contour matching that of the wearer. Integral leg portions may be provided to the garment by rotary knitting at each leg receiving opening of the body portion. A waist opening and waistband may also be provided as the garment is being knitted.
