Before forming a cap layer, a step of reducing in-membrane water content such that the in-membrane water content of a layer formed between a gas barrier layer and the cap layer is less than 1.0×1015/mg is performed. The in-membrane water content of less than 1.0×1015/mg is maintained until at least a step of forming the cap layer after the step of reducing the in-membrane water content, and the cap layer is then formed through a dry process.

摘要： A surface of a nonslip member (1) made of a silicone resin is treated by combustion chemical vapor deposition (2). A two pack urethane-based primer (3) in the molten state is applied to the surface of the nonslip member (1) treated by combustion chemical vapor deposition (2). The primer (3) is dried, and a thermal adhesive resin film (4) is applied to the layer of the primer 3 by thermal adhesion treatment. The adhesiveness (adhesive strength) of the nonslip member (1) made of a silicone resin is substantially improved. Therefore, when a nonslip member (A) is attached to the underside of the waist of a pair of trousers or a skirt or to a quarter lining attached to that part, the nonslip member (A) can maintain an extremely excellent nonslip effect for a long time. In addition, the nonslip member (A) does not peel off after washing or dry cleaning.

摘要： Certain example embodiments relate to a burner for use in combustion deposition depositing a coating on a substrate. An infrared (IR) burner generates radiant energy in an area between the burner and the substrate. A delivery device (1) provides a stream comprising a substantially vaporized precursor and a carrier gas from a location remote from the radiant energy generated by the IR burner, and (2) causes the stream to flow between the substrate and the IR burner. The stream is substantially laminar when exiting the delivery device. The radiant energy is sufficient to cause the precursor in the stream to be combusted and to heat the substrate to allow at least a portion of the combusted precursor to form the coating, directly or indirectly, on the substrate. The burners of certain example embodiments may be used, for example, to combustion deposition deposit metal oxide coatings onto glass substrates.

Also method for priming a flexible film substrate to enhance the reactivity or wettability of the substrate for metallization is disclosed. A substrate film is coated with one or more nanolayers of a metal or metal oxide applied by CCVD and/or PECVD at open atmosphere. The deposited coating acts to enhance the surface energy of the film substrate and to and reduce the surface gauge variation of the substrate or supporting film, thereby enhancing the wettability of the film substrate for metallization and/or to improve the anti-block characteristics of the film. The deposited coatings may also act as a barrier layer for lowering the permeability of light, gas and vapor transmission through the substrate.
