摘要： There is provided a highly versatile curing accelerator for an oxidative polymerization-type unsaturated resin. There are also provided a printing ink and a coating material that use the above curing accelerator. Specifically, the curing accelerator for an oxidative polymerization-type unsaturated resin that is used contains a fatty acid manganese salt (A) and a compound (B) represented by formula (1) below, (wherein R1 and R4 are each a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group, a hydrocarbonoxy group, or an amino group, R2 and R5 are each a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group, a hydrocarbonoxy group, a hydrocarbonoxycarbonyl group, a cyano group, a nitro group, or a halogen atom, R3 and R6 are each a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group, and R7 is a divalent hydrocarbon group, and wherein R1 and R2 may form a ring, and R4 and R5 may form a ring).

摘要： Aqueous alkyd resin emulsion compositions and methods of applying them for providing an exceptionally durable film capable of imparting a gloss sheen to the substrate while simultaneously entrapping pigments, MYLAR or glitter flakes, or other low aspect ratio materials so that they might durably adhere to a variety of surfaces, including, but not limited to, urethane rubber, vehicle tires, and vinyl. The emulsion compositions comprise an alkyd resin, a mixture of alkyd resins, a mixture of alkyd resins and conventional latex resins, or a mixture of all or part of the above and silicone oils. The low aspect ratio materials component of the compositions may be comprised of any combination of various pigments, MYLAR or metallic flakes, or standard glitter flakes, all in a wide variety of sizes, colors and shapes. The emulsion compositions also optionally comprise thickeners, metallic driers, defoamers, and/or preservatives. The methods comprise applying the alkyd resin emulsion composition with low aspect ratio materials to a substrate surface.

In particular, the cobalt drier is twelve percent cobalt by weight. The drying agent can also include a manganese drier, tung oil, a water-activated drier, a two-way drier, and a lithographic overprint varnish. All ingredients can be present in the mixture at a concentration of one part by weight. The drying agent can be used with a variety of printing stock substrates, and may be used at significantly higher concentrations than prior art drying agents.
