The present invention relates to an ink comprising a solvent having a relative permittivity of 3 or less, as measured at a frequency of 1 kHz and at 22° C. and having a solubility in water of 20 mg/L or less at 25° C. and a specific azo compound.

R1 is hydrogen, methyl, hydroxyl or NHR4; R2 is hydrogen, chloro or methoxy; R3 is hydrogen, (C1-C4)-alkyl or —CH2(CH2)nCOOCH2CN; R5 is hydrogen, (C1-C4)-alkyl or —CH2(CH2)mCOOCH2CN; R4 is —COCH3, —CO C2H5, —SO2CH3 or SO2C2H5; n and m are independently 0,1 or 2, with the proviso: When, Y and Z both are Cl, R1 is other than methyl. When, R2 is Hydrogen and R3, R4 both are alkyl, R1 is selected from NHSO2CH3 or NHSO2C2H5. Disperse dyes of Formula (I) have excellent washing fastness and light fastness on polyester fiber and polyester blends.

摘要： The present application relates to a process of colour neutralizing treatment liquids, wherein the treatment liquid comprises a chromophore selected from the group consisting of monoazo, triarylmethane, xanthene, anthraquinone, hydrophobic dyes, and mixtures thereof, wherein the hydrophobic dyes are selected from the group consisting of benzodifuranes; methine; triphenylmethanes; naphthalimides; pyrazole; naphthoquinone; mono-azo, di-azo dyes and mixtures thereof, said process comprising the steps of: i. providing a mixing vessel with the treatment composition comprising the chromophore; ii. providing to the mixing vessel more than 0.045% of a reducing agent selected from the group consisting of sulfite, thiodiurea, formaldehyde bisulfite formaldehyde sulfoxilate and mixtures thereof; and iii. mixing until discolouration by color neutralization of the chromophore is achieved.

摘要： The monoazo compound represented by formula I is excellent in compatibility with, solubility in, and coloring power for, almost all water-immiscible organic liquids, has a low melting point, and is suitable for use to color molten plastics, synthetic fiber spinning solutions, etc., and to color thermal transfer ink. ##STR1## wherein R represents sec-butyl; Cp represents a coupling component residue.The dense solution of at least one kind of said monoazo compound in a hydrocarbon solvent diffuses and dissolves quickly and uniformly in coloring subjects such as petroleum products, and is capable of coloring fuel oil etc. to a desired distinguishable color density with small amounts.
