摘要： The invention relates to a method for producing coagulant aluminium salts. Raw material comprising at least one aluminium oxide compound is mixed with a process acid or a base to form a reaction mixture, which is heated to a reaction temperature of at least 100° C. at a reaction pressure. The aluminium oxide compound is allowed to react with the process acid or the base. The aluminium oxide compound is selected from a group consisting of amorphous aluminium oxide, γ-aluminium oxide, η-aluminium oxide, χ-aluminium oxide, or any of their mixtures. The reaction pressure is at least 2 bar(g).

摘要： An antiperspirant active composition comprising an aluminum salt, the aluminum salt (i) having an aluminum to chloride molar ratio of 0.3:1 to 3:1; and (ii) having a species of polyhydroxyoxoaluminum cation detectable at 76 ppm by 27Al NMR that is present in a relative abundance on a 27Al NMR spectrograph that is greater than any other polyhydroxyoxoaluminum cation detectable by 27Al NMR. Also, disclosed are methods of making the antiperspirant active.

摘要： A process for alumina and carbonate production from aluminium rich materials with integrated CO2 utilization, comprising: comminuting and leaching Al-rich materials in concentrated HCI; separating unreacted material from metal chloride solution; separating Al3+ from solution by crystallization of AlCl3.6H2O; calcination of AlCl3.6H2O with HCl recovery; precipitation of metal carbonates from CO2; regeneration of HCl and extractive amines; the Al3+ separation the facilitated by increasing HCl concentration; the calcination being performed in two steps, one in the range 400 and 600° C. to generate a HCl-rich gas and one above 600° C. to produce Al2O3; for precipitating metal carbonates, mixing the metal chloride solution with an organic solution containing a selected amine and contacting the mixture with a CO2-containing gas, thereby also extracting HCl by formation of an ammonium chloride salt complex; processing thermally or chemically the organic solution to regenerate the amine for recirculation.

摘要： There are provided processes for purifying aluminum ions. Such processes comprise precipitating the aluminum ions under the form of Al(OH)3 at a first pH range; converting Al(OH)3 into AlCl3 by reacting Al(OH)3 with HCl and precipitating said AlCl3; and heating the AlCl3 under conditions effective for converting AlCl3 into Al2O3 and optionally recovering gaseous HCl so-produced. The processes can also comprise converting alumina into aluminum.

摘要： A method for concentration of phosphate compounds comprises dissolving (205) of sludge ash in hydrochloric acid. Insoluble residues are separated (210), thereby forming a first leach solution. A mole ratio of phosphorus to a sum of ferric iron and aluminium in the first leach solution is controlled (215) to be larger than 1. A base is added (220) to the first leach solution in an amount causing precipitation of phosphate compounds. The precipitated phosphate compounds are removed (225) from the first leach solution. Sulphuric acid is added (240) to the first leach solution, causing precipitation of sulphate compounds. The precipitated sulphate compounds are separated (245) from the first leach solution. At least a part of the leach solution is recycled (248) as the hydrochloric acid used for the dissolving of sludge ash. Further methods for processing the precipitated phosphate compounds are presented as well as arrangements for performing the methods.
