    • The invention relates to an apparatus (12) for emptying a fluid container (10), wherein the apparatus (12) comprises: a pumping unit (20) configured to pump fluids, a display device (22); a data input unit comprising a read-out device (26) configured to read out fluid type identifying data from at least one marking element (14) of the fluid container (10) and/or input means (24) configured for a manual input of the fluid type identifying data and/or for choosing the fluid type identifying data manually from a list of reference data displayed on the display device (22); and an identification unit configured to perform a data comparison of the fluid type identifying data with the reference data for identifying the fluid (18) inside the fluid container (10); wherein the apparatus (12) is configured to display fluid type information about the identified fluid type of the fluid in the fluid container (10) on the display device (22). The invention further relates to a corresponding method for coupling a fluid container (10) to an apparatus (12) for emptying said fluid container (10).

    • A system prevents unauthorized delivery of product to a bulk storage tank, allows authorized delivery, and controls the flow of product at a product entry port of the tank. A remote controlled valve includes a disk flap that is displaceable between an opened position and a closed position, and a disk displacement assembly including a motor coupled with the disk flap. The disk displacement assembly includes a lock feature that locks the disk flap in the opened position and the closed position. A controller is cooperable with the disk displacement assembly and controls activation of the motor. The disk displacement assembly includes a spring transmission assembly interposed between the motor and an axle of the disk flap. The spring transmission assembly permits displacement of the motor when the disk flap is blocked in the opened position or the closed position.

    • A system and method is provided to monitor a tanker truck. The system includes a plurality of sensors, each of the plurality of sensors configured to detect an event. The system also includes a monitoring unit electrically coupled with the plurality of sensors to detect the event. The monitoring unit includes a processing unit, a time module, and a memory, and is operable to time stamp data about the sensed event with information from the time module and store the detected and time stamped event in the memory. The system further includes a handheld data terminal configured to communicate with the monitoring unit. The handheld data terminal is operable to retrieve and display the stored event, and includes a processing unit, a memory, a user interface, a time module, and a display.
