摘要： A web transport system for transporting a web of media along a web transport path in an in-track direction, including a liquid application system for applying a liquid to at least one surface of the web of media. An air skive is positioned along the web transport path downstream of the liquid application system, wherein the air skive directs one or more streams of air onto the web of media thereby removing at least some of the liquid that is being carried along with the web of media. A vapor source adds a vapor into the one or more streams of air provided by the air skive before the one or more streams of air are directed onto the web of media.

摘要： A liquid discharge apparatus includes: a liquid discharge head; a conveyer that supports and conveys a medium; a blower that is disposed on the upstream side of the liquid discharge head or the downstream side of the liquid discharge head and suppresses the change of the posture of the medium by sending the air to the medium; a temperature adjuster that is disposed on the side of the blower opposite to the liquid discharge head in the medium conveying direction and adjusts the temperature of an object to a temperature higher than the ambient temperature of the liquid discharge head or a temperature lower than the ambient temperature of the liquid discharge head; and a blast controller sends an operation stop command or an air reduction command to the blower at a blast region-pass timing at which the medium passes through a blast region of the blower.

摘要： Spirally wound paper products are disclosed having desirable roll bulk, firmness and softness properties. The rolled products can be made from a multiple ply tissue webs formed according to various processes. Tissue webs having basis weights greater than about 40 grams per square meter were wound into rolls having a Kershaw roll firmness of less than about 9 mm and a roll bulk of greater than about 15 cc/g. Similarly, tissue webs having basis weights less than about 40 grams per square meter were wound into rolls having a Kershaw roll firmness of less than about 9 mm and a roll bulk of greater than about 18 cc/g.
