    • A packaging apparatus creates foil packages by wrapping objects in foil from a first roll of foil. The foil has a number of predefined subsections along its length. Sub rollers guide the foil between the first roll of foil to a second roll via a foil path. Packaging means along the foil path wrap the objects in a subpart of the foil present along said foil path. The sub rollers have adjustable accumulation means for accumulating an adjustable amount of foil along the foil path for ensuring that the subpart for wrapping corresponds to one of the predefined subsections. Thereby, foil is accumulated in the foil path to ensure that one complete subsection of foil is present in the foil path for wrapping an object in one subsection of foil and ensuring that the final package has the graphical print of an entire subsection.

    • A lidding system for heat sealing a lidding web onto open-topped plastic containers includes a heat sealing head including heat sealing dies and a number of carrier plates for supporting a queue of containers. The carrier plates are displaced past the sealing head and define transverse slots between them. The system includes an optical sensor for sensing the a position of labels on the lidding web, and further includes a pair of pleating bars movable in a vertical direction and extending transversely relative to the direction of travel of the carrier plates. The system includes a PLC linked to the optical sensor for actuating displacement of the pleating bars into lowered positions wherein the bars are received in the slots to form pleats in the lidding web, thereby adjusting the position of the labels relative to the containers, in response to the labels not being sufficiently aligned with the containers.

    • The system for synchronising work stations of a blister-packing machine with an advancing of a blister strip comprises video cameras (V1, V2, V3) predisposed upstream of the work station (S1,S2,S3). The system comprises a processor and a computer program predisposed to: process a reference element (R) corresponding to a correct register distance that a distinctive element (C) present in the blister strip (B) must have from the reference element (R) when the blister strip transits from the positions of the video cameras (R) when the blister strip transits from the positions of the video cameras (V1, V2, V3) so that the operating means (10, 11, 12, 13) of the work stations (S1, 2, S3) are in register with the advancement of the blister strip; acquiring with the video cameras (V1, V2, V3) an image (I1, I2, I3) of the portion of blister strip; insert the reference element (R) in the image (I1, I2, I3) and identify the effective position of the distinctive element (C), calculate the effective distance (D) between the position of the distinctive element (C) and the reference element (R) and compare the effective distance (D) obtained with the register distance; if the value of the effective distance (D) obtained is different from the register distance, the system via the processor intervenes on the operating means of the station and/or on the advancement of the blister strip.
