摘要： An animal flotation device that provides full support under the animal with flotation pods on both sides and an additional detachable flotation pod located under the head of the animal to prevent the head and nose from going under water. The front flotation pod hangs down when out of the water and immediately supports the head of the animal when in the water. The front legs of the animal pass through holes located in the front of the center support to prevent the animal from slipping out of the device while in use, either on land or water. To keep the unit secured on the animal, there are two sets of straps, one located just behind the front legs of the animal and the second set located just in front of the rear legs of the animal. The straps have quick releases for ease and rapidity of use during attachment and detachment. The device is made of nylon for durability and is bright yellow in color for safety.

The device can be easily adjusted to be negatively buoyant, neutrally buoyant, or positively buoyant before inflation depending on whether the application is safety, rescue, or recovery. The device may also be integrated into an article of clothing for certain applications. An elongated handle is attached to the device to provide a sliding attachment point for a rescue rope that automatically reduces torque applied to the limb of the user. Consequently, a rescue force applied to the rescue rope can act at a variety of angles along an arc relative to the device.

摘要： An emergency rescue locator for locating persons and pets in the water is provided. The emergency rescue locator comprises a life jacket having a front side and a rear side and a locating system mounted to the life jacket. The locating system comprises an inflatable pole having a first end and a second end and an inflating mechanism in fluid communication with the first end of the pole. Upon the locating system becoming immersed in the water, the inflating mechanism instantly and automatically activates to inflate the pole causing the second end of the pole to be positioned at a point above a water surface. The locating system immediately and continuously pinpoints the persons' or pets' location until rescued.
