摘要： A system for controlling a marine vessel's existing horn to automatically sound navigational signals as set forth in Coast Guard Navigation Rules, International and Inland for Sound and Light Signals for boats 12 meters 39 feet and larger, Rules 34 through 37. The system provides a user-interface with a selection of predetermined horn/light signals that can be repeated once or continuously via lights and/or sound, with a preview of the selected signal. The system permits a helmsman and other crew members to attend to other duties without constant attention to the vessel's horn, and enhances safety and Coast Guard compliance, and in the long term helps to inform and educate the operator through observing the signal patterns, on the water, or in boating courses like Coast Guard Auxiliary, Power Squadron and Community College courses.

摘要： A combination marine horn and bow light is provided. According to the invention, a single unit houses a bow light assembly affixed to a housing which contains a sound emitting portion of the horn. The bow light and sound emitting portion of the horn are preferably mounted on the top surface of a boat bow deck. The horn is installed below the bow deck surface. The entire unit is powered by a single electrical supply. Alternatively, separate bow light and horn units may be affixed to the deck or hull sidewalls. In this embodiment, each bow light would have a separate colored lens cover. In a further embodiment, for either deck or sidewall mounting, the light and horn combination, including the sound emitting and sound producing portions, are all mounted on the exterior of the vessel.

摘要： A waterproof flush-mountable marine horn assembly includes a generally cup-shaped housing having a bottom wall and upstanding side wall means. The side wall means includes a top edge portion which defines a top rim of the housing, which top rim defines thereinside an opening in said housing. A flange extends from the top rim in a direction substantially opposite the housing opening and has a top surface facing away from the bottom wall and surrounding the opening. A horn is disposed within and secured to the housing. A water-proof membrane is stretched across the housing opening and secured to the top surface of the flange so as to completely cover the housing opening.
