摘要： An article of manufacture for providing a leak resistant facemask according to the present invention is an automated accessory for a spare tire hoist for an automotive vehicle having a direct current power source and a spare tire stored in a horizontal orientation beneath the underside of a vehicle body and including a hoist with a rotatable drive input for raising and lowering said spare tire. The automated spare tire hoist includes a bidirectional direct current motor for mounting beneath said underside of the vehicle body proximate the spare tire hoist and having a motor output drive shaft and electrical input leads, speed reduction gearing coupled to the motor output drive shaft and having a gear output drive shaft, a coupler extending from the gear output drive shaft for engagement with said hoist drive input, a load-actuated circuit breaker coupled in circuit with the electrical input leads to said motor and having accessory power leads for connection to the direct current power source of the vehicle; and an actuating electrical switch coupled in circuit with the accessory power leads and located remotely from the motor for alternatively driving the motor in opposite directions and for cutting power to the motor entirely.

摘要： An automated hoist for a vehicle spare tire includes a linear bracket mounted beneath the vehicle chassis, proximal the rear bumper. A motorized housing can be automatically propelled backward or forward along the bracket. A retractable cable extending from the housing has a lifting plate at a distal end that is connected to the spare tire. When a driver engages a switch, the cable partially lowers the spare tire and the housing moves toward the rear of the vehicle. The cable is then completely lowered until the tire is at ground level and the lifting-plate automatically releases the tire.

摘要： A device for loading and unloading a wheel of a vehicle includes an actuating device operable to move a cable between a lifted wheel position and a lowered wheel position. A support anchored to the wheel is elastically suspended to a supporting rod carried by the cable. A bracket secured to the vehicle has an axially fixed bush, through which the supporting rod moves following actuation of the cable. The rod has a lateral surface provided with projections. The rod and the bush have cam surfaces which come into engagement with each other during a final lifting stage to cause the bush to rotate towards a position in which, following a lowering of the cable, the projections rest on seats on the upper end surface of the bush to discharge the weight of the wheel.

摘要： A spare tire hoist may be provided. A retention cable may be used to retain a spare tire against a surface of a motor vehicle. A tensioning spring may be used to tension the retention cable when the spare tire is in a storage position. A wheel plate engages the spare tire and cooperates with the retention cable and the tensioning spring to maintain the spare tire in the storage position. The wheel plate may include an insert portion that engages a center aperture of a wheel rim of the spare tire. A flange portion that substantially surrounds the insert portion and engages a peripheral surface of the wheel rim may also be provided. A reinforcement ring may be included in the wheel plate, substantially coextensive with the insert portion and extending within a substantially hollow region of the flange portion. The reinforcement ring may provide mechanical reinforcement to the wheel plate.

摘要： A structural support bracket for a rear cargo pan of a vehicle includes a forward end that is secured to a rear cross member and a rearward end that is secured to the rear cargo pan adjacent a center portion thereof so as to support the rear cargo pan against deflection during use. The forward end of the support bracket is secured to both a downwardly directed surface and a rearwardly directed surface of the rear cross member. The structural support bracket reduces deflection of the cargo pan and reduces generation of impact boom noises otherwise caused thereby.
