摘要： A listing bead fastening tool has a body that defines a guiding recess shaped to receive a listing bead, and a guide rib extending from the body. The guide rib has a neck and a head that is connected to the body of the tool by the neck. The head has a width to allow it to pass through a retention channel defined by opposing rows of fastener elements extending from a base of a fastener strip to which the listing bead is to be fastened. The guiding recess of the body of the tool defines a listing bead insertion path that is angled with respect to the retention channel. Moving the tool along the retention channel causes the listing bead, which is retained within the guiding recess, to be progressively inserted into the retention channel and retained between the rows of fastener elements.

摘要： A vehicle seat and frame thereof which minimize the size of an attachment mechanism of a support structure for supporting the back of a seated person are provided. A seat frame has side frames positioned at right and left sides of a seat back frame and extending in an up to down direction. The side frame has a side portion extending along a side portion of the seat, a rear portion projecting from a rear end of the side portion to an inner side of the seat, and a support member spanned between the right and left side frames, and receives a load of the seated person. The support member has a connecting portion for connecting to the side frame and is attached to the rear portion of the side frame in a state where the positional relationship between the connecting portion and the side frame is fixed.

摘要： There is disclosed a clip attaching structure of a vehicle seat. The seat frame includes an attaching hole and an expanded hole which expands a hole thereof from the attaching hole in a radial direction. The clip includes a fitting portion inserted into the attaching hole to fit in an inner periphery of the attaching hole, and an extending portion which extends a shape thereof from the fitting portion in the radial direction to be inserted into the expanded hole. A tip of the extending portion extends beyond the fitting portion in an inserting direction. On a tip surface of the extending portion in the inserting direction, a guide surface is formed to abut on a peripheral edge portion of the expanded hole when an inserting position of the fitting portion shifts from the attaching hole in the radial direction, thereby guiding the fitting portion toward the attaching hole.

摘要： A method is provided for upholstering an automotive interior component such as a seat or door panel. According to the method, a single piece of fabric is provided with a pattern that includes an interior portion and a pair of integral outboard bolsters. In a preferred embodiment, the interior portion is printed with a design that visually distinguishes the interior portion from the bolsters. The fabric is then sewn along pre-selected areas to form pinch seams and side panels may be joined to the pattern. Printing and sewing the pattern in this manner causes the resulting cover to appear as if it were made from multiple pieces of discrete fabric. However, by using the single piece of printed and sewn fabric, the need for multiple rolls of material, laborious pattern cutting, and excess scrap are eliminated.

摘要： A shock-absorbing outdoor seat for recreational boats and the like includes a cushion member shaped to abuttingly support a seated user on an upper surface thereof, and a one-piece, hollow molded seat body member. The seat body member includes a front portion with a connector, a raised rear portion, and a recessed base portion shaped to position the cushion member thereover. The seat also includes a shock-absorbing member positioned over the recessed base portion. The shock-absorbing member includes a deck supporting the cushion on an upper side thereof and which includes a rear attachment portion and a front attachment portion mounted to said connector of said front portion of said seat body member. The shock-absorbing member also includes a plurality of longitudinally extensible spring members having forward and rearward ends, a plurality of spring bosses molded integrally in the raised rear portion of the seat body to define apertures extending in a fore-to-aft direction which receive therethrough the rearward ends of the spring members, and a connector rod extending along a back area of the raised portion of the seat body. The connector is connected with the rearward ends of the spring members to support the deck in a pre-tensed condition over the recessed base portion of the seat body for absorbing shock loading applied to the seat by the seated user.
