摘要： A cooling system has a primary stage; and a secondary stage including a secondary pressure reducing device configured to adopt a passive state and an active state, a cooling section for cooling an electric storage device, a pump, a secondary compressor, and a valve device arranged to selectively direct the refrigerant to the pump or to the secondary compressor. The secondary stage is controlled to operate in a first mode where the secondary pressure reducing device adopts the passive state, and the valve device directs the refrigerant to the pump; and control the secondary stage to operate in a second mode where the secondary pressure reducing device adopts the active state, and the valve device directs the refrigerant to the secondary compressor. In the second mode, the refrigerant is conveyed by the secondary stage is condensed in cooperation with the primary stage.

摘要： A vehicle thermal management system includes a vehicle heat pump system, a battery system coolant loop, a drive train coolant loop, and control electronics. The vehicle heat pump system includes a compressor, a cabin condenser, a cabin evaporator, a cabin blower, and a chiller. The battery system coolant loop is in thermal communication with a battery system and with the chiller and selectively in thermal communication with the drive train coolant loop. The control electronics control the components of the vehicle thermal management system to heat the cabin, cool the cabin, heat the battery system, cool the battery system, and cool the drive train. The control electronics may control the compressor to operate in an efficient mode or a lossy mode in which the compressor generates heat. The control electronics may also control the components of the vehicle thermal management system to precondition the battery.

摘要： In one embodiment, an autonomous driving system to autonomously drive an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV) includes one or more processors, a perception module executed by the processors to perceive a driving environment surrounding the ADV, and a planning module executed by the processors to plan a path based on perception data of the driving environment to navigate through the driving environment. The processors are mounted on one or more cold plates coupled to a vehicle cooling system of the ADV, the vehicle cooling system having a first radiator and a first coolant distribution loop coupled to a vehicle engine of the ADV to provide liquid cooling to the vehicle engine. The cold plates are coupled to the first radiator via a second coolant distribution loop to receive a portion of the coolant from the first radiator to extract heat from the cold plates.

The refrigeration cycle has: a compressor for compressing cooling medium; a secondary evaporator in which the cooling medium absorbs heat from the coolant water in the first coolant-water circulation path; a secondary condenser that releases heat of the cooling medium that has absorbed the heat at the secondary evaporator to the coolant water in the second coolant-water circulation path; and a secondary expander that decompresses the cooling medium that has passed through the secondary condenser.

The primary circuit includes a flow of refrigerant, an evaporator and a chiller configured to exchange heat between a coolant and the refrigerant. The secondary circuit includes a heat exchanger in fluid communication with the chiller to receive the coolant. The heat exchanger includes a phase change material in heat exchange relationship with the coolant, such that the coolant exchanges heat with the phase change material to store thermal energy in the phase change material. The air-conditioning system is implemented in a machine in which during an idle-off state, the stored energy in the heat exchanger is discharged to provide an air-conditioning effect.
