    • The present patent of invention refers to a rear bogie-type suspension used preferably in trucks, having a pivoting bearing (1) disposed on upper part of the spring pack (2), positioned between the two axles and laterally on each side of the chassis (5), said pivoting bearing (1) comprised of an anchor pin (3) fastened to a hanger (4) and to the chassis (5), in a robust manner to withstand the extreme strains to which this kind of suspension is normally submitted, also favoring assembly conditions, weight reduction, reduced consumption of materials and labor, also having an axle rebound stop (6) in combination with spring pack (2) in order to provide greater safety and durability to its components.

    • A suspension includes: wheel supporting members for supporting wheels, a leaf spring having both end portions each arranged on an upper side of the respective wheel supporting member; a pivot supporting the leaf spring, and receiving pieces interposed between the wheel supporting members and the both end portions of the leaf spring respectively. Each of the wheel supporting members includes a recess portion on which one of the receiving pieces is mounted. Each of the receiving pieces includes an engaging portion for engaging with one of the both end portions of the leaf spring. Each of the receiving pieces includes an elastic member and a first metal plate joined on the elastic member. The elastic member can deform to follow a displacement of a relative position between the leaf spring and one of the wheel supporting members.

    • A trailer frame comprised of a tongue and longitudinal side frame members extending rearwardly from the tongue. The side frame members are formed of hollow tubing having top, bottom and side surfaces. Cross bar members are positioned between the longitudinal side frame members. An axle for mounting wheels and tires is also provided. A pair of fenders with mounting straps provide cover for the top portion of each of the tires and a pair of leaf springs is provided to suspend the axle from the trailer frame. The center portion of each of the springs is mounted to one end of the axle. Openings associated with each spring are formed in the bottom surface of each side frame member to allow the end portions of the leaf springs to be positioned within the interior of the tubing. Loops are formed at the ends of each leaf spring. Two bolts associated with each spring are horizontally positioned through the side surfaces of the side frame members above the openings. Each of the bolts support a spacer and a bushing that are contained within the interior of the tubing. The two bolts, spacers, and bushings pass through the spring loops to support the ends of the spring within the interior of the tubing. The heads of the bolts also support the mounting straps of the fenders against the outer side surface of the side frame members.

    • A vehicle such as a 6.times.2 tractor having at least three axles is provided with a novel leaf spring suspension (1) for its middle axle. When the load, imposed on the chassis by a semi-trailer, exceeds a predetermined threshold, the free, rear, end of the leaf spring (1) engages the under-surface of the upper portion of a slipper bracket (4) attached to the chassis, and the middle axle takes a proportion of the load. With loads below the threshold, the free end drops through a vertical "air gap" and is held by a lower supporting arm on the slipper bracket, the middle axle being unloaded. The rear, driving, axle is thus more heavily loaded whenever the vehicle is part-laden, ensuring greater traction.
