摘要： In a tire in which a groove extending a tire circumferential direction is formed in a tread part, a projection extending in a direction intersecting the tire circumferential direction is provided at a groove bottom of the groove, the projection includes: a first projection part extending from one groove wall forming the groove toward the other groove wall forming the groove, and terminating short of the other groove wall; and a second projection part extending from the other groove wall toward the one groove wall, and terminating short of the one groove wall, and a terminal part of the first projection part is arranged closer to the other groove wall than a terminal part of the second projection part.

摘要： A pneumatic tire includes a shoulder land portion and a narrow groove in a tread surface. The narrow groove extends in the tire circumferential direction and sections the shoulder land portion into a main land portion and a sub land portion. A first groove portion extends from the tread surface toward an inner side in the tire radial direction in parallel to the tire equatorial plane. A second groove portion is provided closer to the inner side in the tire radial direction and the tire equatorial plane side than the first groove portion and extends in parallel to the tire equatorial plane. A coupling portion is connected to an end portion of the first groove portion in the inner side in the tire radial direction and an end portion of the second groove portion in the tread surface side.

The knobs are closely positioned together in groups and may be disposed in recesses to lower the tops of the knobs relative to the circumferential outer surface of the tire. The recesses may comprise a variety of shapes and designs. The knobs may have varying lengths, widths, heights and shapes. The knobs may also be grouped to form letters, numerals, symbols and graphic images. The size of the knobs and distance of spacing between adjacent knobs may be proportionally small in relation to the tire's width, diameter, circumference, or ridable surface area.

The projection parts extend from one side wall to the other side wall opposed to the one side wall, the side walls forming the groove portion. The projection parts are arranged at predetermined intervals in the groove portion. A relationship of 0.75L≦P≦10L is satisfied where L denotes a length of the projection parts and P denotes the predetermined intervals. In addition, a relationship of TWf/cos θf≦0.9W is satisfied where W denotes a groove width of the groove, TWf denotes a width of the projection parts, and θf denotes an angle formed by an extending direction of the projection parts and a groove center line in a direction opposite to a rotation direction of the tire in a tread face view of the tire.
