摘要： A binding cover having a transparent overlay cover disposed over and around the spine of the binding is configured to provide a label pocket on the spine portion of the binding cover wherein a label may be inserted easily without tools or rigid label material. In several embodiments the label pocket provides a fixed label space. In another embodiment the label pocket opens along the spine when the binding cover is opened, and returns to a closed position when closed, thereby retaining a label inserted therein. In other embodiments, methods for forming the label pocket are provided.

摘要： A ring binder is provided that has attachable and detachable covers. The opposite edges of the binder's spine are hingedly attached to the proximal edges of respective front and back extensions which are relatively short in a direction perpendicular to the hinge axes. The extensions are sized to be substantially coextensive with the maximum projection of the binder's rings along an axis that is perpendicular to the inside surface of the spine, and the rings and associated structures are either mounted on the inside of the spine or inside of the back extension depending on the ring type. The front and back extensions function to extend the front and back covers to the hinges when the covers are attached to the extensions' distal edges. When so attached, an assembled ring binder having hinged covers is created that appears and functions as a conventional binder when used.

摘要： In a binder such as a window binder having two opaque thermoplastic sheets sandwiching therebetween front and rear panels, a spine panel, and an outer clear panel forming a window over the spine panel and the front and rear panels, the spine has a depression or slot for receiving a spine label without substantial friction that would inhibit the insertion and removal of the spine label. The spine panel may either be sandwiched between the two opaque sheets, or it may be disposed on the outside of both of the opaque sheets, and the slot may be either open or closed at the side that faces the label printing. When disposed on the outside of the opaque sheets, the spine panel may be colored to provide a colored spine for an otherwise white or differently colored window binder.

The storage system includes a novel storage binder having a plurality of panels that may be arranged in such a manner as to form an enclosure. The loose-leaf binder inserts may include a transparent front sheet attached to a backing to form a number of memorabilia-receiving sleeves therein. Vertically-oriented sleeve openings may be formed in the backing for insertion of photographs or other memorabilia. The front sheet and backing may be folded in half, or otherwise attached to have a two-sided binder insert with transparent front sheets exposed on the outside of the insert and the corresponding backing located on the inside of the insert.

摘要： A binder for releasably retaining loose-leaves. The binder has a front cover that lies flatly beneath its back cover when the binder is open 360 degrees. The rings of the binder can rotate around an edge of the flatly-folded cover to enable loose-leaves to lie flat above and below the cover. The binder also has a skeleton with a minimal cross-section spine which may be partially or completely embedded in a cover and rotates in relation to parallel front and back covers when the binder is open 360 degrees. The front cover, middle cover and back cover are connected in a way so that they do not interfere with the rotation of the rings. Mechanisms to open and close the rings of the skeleton to allow addition or removal of loose-leafs, and ring shapes to optimize or stabilize the capacity of the binder during operation are also disclosed.
