摘要： A method of mounting a flexographic printing plate includes disposing a backing tape on a printing plate cylinder forming a taped printing plate cylinder. A transverse center of the flexographic printing plate is attached to the taped printing plate cylinder at a mount line offset relative to a scribe line of the printing plate cylinder. A first portion of the flexographic printing plate is wrapped around a first portion of the taped printing plate cylinder from the mount line outward in a first direction away from the mount line. A second portion of the flexographic printing plate is wrapped around a second portion of the taped printing plate cylinder from the mount line outward in a second direction away from the mount line. The mount line is offset relative to the scribe line at a distance that ensures banding occurs in a non-patterned non-printing area of the flexographic printing plate.

摘要： A process for chemically bonding a screen fabric material to a frame structure for serigraphic printing purposes. The bonding or fastening process includes, providing a screen fabric material in taut communication to peripheral portions of a frame structure. A cyanoacrylate based adhesive is applied to the screen fabric portions in communication with the frame periphery. A chemically basic catalyst is then brought in contact with the applied cyanoacrylate adhesive to activate or accelerate the anionic polymerization of the applied adhesive for quick curing thereof. The use of methylcyanoacrylate, ethylcyanoacrylate and isopropylcyanoacrylate adhesives are provided for specific end-use purposes. A basic catalyst, in a spray mixture, consisting of aromatic amines is used for quick and easy anionic polymerization of the cyanoacrylate based adhesive. And, a compatible dye for use in conjuction with the cyanoacrylate adhesives is provided for distinguishing the various cyanoacrylate adhesive structures, and to aid in the proper application of the cyanoacrylate adhesives to the screen fabric portions in communication with the frame structure.

摘要： Flexography basically is a relief printing process similar in many respects to letterpress but using fluid, fast drying inks, rubber plates, rotary presses and being commonly web fed. The rubber plates are supported on a plate cylinder usually by a fabric material carrying adhesive on its opposed major faces. Such fabric is advantageously replaced by a resilient compressible flexible composite which provides for maintaining the conformability of the usual printing plate to the work to be printed while sufficiently minimizing plate distortion as to avoid poor quality printing. The composite is compressible without significant lateral spreading and is of uniform thickness overall, suitably exhibiting a tolerance not in excess of plus or minus 0.003 inch and preferably plus or minus about 0.001 inch.
