The printhead assembly may include a printhead biasing assembly defining a biasing ramp which may be configured to apply a biasing force to a printhead support bracket so as to at least partially counteract a ribbon force. The clutch assembly may be configured to supply or take-up a printer ribbon with first and second spool engagement members of different diameters that frictionally engage first and second friction members. The printer ribbon transport assembly may include a rotation lock mechanism configured to prevent rotation of a ribbon take-up core when the take-up core is disengaged from a drive assembly so as to prevent a loss in ribbon tension.

A cartridge body includes integrally formed resilient engagement pieces each including a ratchet portion that engages and disengages the ratchet gear of the respective spool and a compressed portion that is compressed by a compressing portion of a thermal transfer printer apparatus. When the ink ribbon cartridge is installed in the thermal transfer printer apparatus, the resilient engagement pieces behave such that the compressed portions are compressed by the compressing portions of the thermal transfer printer apparatus. Thereby, engagement between the ratchet gears of the respective spools and the ratchet portions is released, and the spools become rotatable in the cartridge body.

摘要： A ticket-printing device has a ribbon sensor and a mode-switching circuit. The mode-switching circuit automatically selects different printing conditions depending on whether or not the ribbon sensor detects the presence of an ink ribbon. The ink ribbon is wound on a supply spool and take-up spool. When the ink ribbon is replaced, a ribbon fixture holds the supply spool and take-up spool in correct relative positions so that they can be easily slipped onto a supply spool shaft and take-up spool shaft in the ticket-printing device.

摘要： A cartridge for a typing ribbon for typewriters comprises a container for accommodating a typing ribbon which can be of single-strike correctable or non-correctable, multi-strike or endless inked type. If the ribbon is of the single-strike or multi-strike type, the container comprises a supply reel and a tensioning and stop device co-operating with a toothed flange of the supply reel to prevent the ribbon which is wound on the supply reel from unwinding both when the container is mounted on the machine and when it is removed from the machine. The device comprises a tensioning lever for the ribbon and a stop lever for the reel, which levers are connected together by means of a resilient spring connection. The device guides and tensions the ribbon during the unidirectional feed movement thereof, in such a way as to ensure a constant stepping movement in the feed motion of the ribbon and low and constant tensioning of the ribbon. If the ribbon is of the inked type, the container comprises a magazine for accommodating the ribbon which is disposed in randomly distributed loops, a feed roller which drives in rotation a first feed wheel for producing a feed movement of the ribbon, together with a pressure roller for introduction of the ribbon into the magazine.
