摘要： The present invention proposes an apparatus for pressure molding multi-layer footwear for use in the field of sport footwear. The apparatus for pressure molding multi-layer footwear has two pressure forming receptacles, each having an inflatable vessel therein. The inflatable vessel is shaped and adapted to surround sides of the footwear, such as a skate. The inflatable vessel has an opening for receiving the skate and an air inlet for inflating the inflatable vessel. The apparatus may further has an air supply device connectable to a control system that will manage the airflow into the inflatable vessel to create the desired pressure onto the skate in order to provide a custom-fit skate.

摘要： The invention concerns a process for manufacturing a strip of ski-coating material made of polyethylene of ultra high molecular weight, wherein a ski-coating strip material 4 manufactured to a thickness of 0.5 to 1.5 mm by a screw extruder, a ram extruder or press sintering with subsequent peeling is made to pass continuously first through a heating zone 1 in which it is heated to temperature above 140.degree. C. and then through a cooling zone consisting of two sizing plates 2, 2' in which it is cooled to a temperature equal to or lower than ambient. This process produces a ski coating of which the crystalline proportion can be adjusted within a range of 25 and 60%, as a result of which improved gliding by the ski coating on snow and improved wax acceptance is assured in comparison with the known methods.

摘要： A no-wax ski base is formed of a composite material in which relatively harder particles are uniformly distributed in a plastic matrix. The harder particles are angularly oriented with respect to the gliding surface of the ski base to provide a unidirectional friction coefficient that combines good gliding properties in the ski forward direction with good grip properties in the backward or "kick off" direction of the ski. These friction properties are maintained throughout the entire life of the ski base irrespective of wear. The ski base may be manufactured by extruding the plastic composite material through a split nozzle while causing it to flow substantially asymmetrically through the split nozzle to obtain the angular orientation of the harder particles in the plastic matrix.

摘要： A core for a water skimming device, such as a water ski, is formed by lining a mold with flexible top and bottom films of acrylic sheet material, followed by injecting structural foam into the mold between the films. The structural foam sets in contact with the films and is encapsulated in and bonded to them. The encapsulated core is wrapped in fibrous reinforcing material, which then is impregnated with thermosetting adhesive. The assembly of core, reinforcing material, adhesive and an outer layer is compression molded to cure the adhesive, which readily bonds the encapsulated core to the outer shell.
