摘要： An optical device includes a shaped layer, an optical function layer, and an embedding resin layer. The shaped layer has a structure forming a concave section. The optical function layer is formed on the structure, and partially reflects incident light. The embedding resin layer is made of energy beam curable resin, the embedding resin layer having a first layer having a first volume, and a second layer formed on the first layer, the second layer having a second volume, the concave section being filled with the first layer, a ratio of the second volume to the first volume being equal to or larger than 5%, the structure and the optical function layer being embedded in the embedding resin layer. In the optical device, at least one of the shaped layer and the embedding resin layer has light transmissive property, and an entrance surface for the incident light.

摘要： Provided is a method for manufacturing a fishing net formed from a plastic net that can be handled by winding or folding although the net has plastic rigidity. The fishing net is manufactured by (1) a step of preparing a multifilament yarn formed by bundling a plurality of core-sheath type composite filaments, in each of which a core component is made of polyethylene terephthalate and a sheath component is made of polyolefin, (2) a step of preparing a yarn thread obtained by paralleling a plurality of the multifilament yarns, (3) a step of twisting or braiding four yarn threads 11, 12, 13, 14 to obtain a net constructed with strands 1 and intersections 2, (4) a step of heat-treating the net under without pressure to melt the sheath component of the yarn threads 11, 12, 13, 14 constituting the strands 1 and the intersections 2, followed by solidifying, thus obtaining a plastic net, and (5) a step of forming the fishing net using the plastic net.

摘要： A multi layered card embodying the invention includes an outer layer of an amorphous laser reactive copolymer material which is embossed with a selected pattern at a selected temperature which is above the glass transition temperature, Tg, of the copolymer and below its melting temperature, Tm. So embossed, the selected pattern is set in the copolymer layer, and its external shape cannot be changed from the embossed form to which it was set at the selected temperature, without destroying the selected pattern. The outer layer may be laminated with the other layers of the card and laser engraved before or after lamination.

摘要： A transaction card has a substructure consisting at least in part of a layer of fibrous material, such as carbon fiber strands or filaments, arranged in a pre-selected pattern, such as a weave pattern, that is at least partially enclosed by a transparent plastic film. A sheet is laminated on each of two opposing faces of the substructure to form a transaction card core. One or both of the sheets laminated on the opposing faces of the substructure is also made of a transparent material, and one or both of the two opposing faces of the transaction card core can be printed. An over-laminate film, such as a transparent polyvinyl chloride plastic film, can be laminated on each of two opposing faces of the transaction card core.

The product comprises a foam insulating panel having a first primary surface and an opposite second primary surface and a laminated fabric attached to the first primary surface of the foam insulating panel. The laminated fabric is impregnated with an air-resistant, water-resistant, vapor permeable, elastomeric polymeric material, wherein the air-resistant, water-resistant, vapor permeable elastomeric polymeric material has an elongation factor of greater than 100%, a water vapor transmission rating of at least 0.1 perm and an air permeance of less than 0.004 cfm/sq. ft. under a pressure differential of 0.3 inches of water, whereby the air-resistant, water-resistant, vapor permeable elastomeric polymeric material provides a water-resistant, vapor permeable air barrier. The laminated fabric comprises a woven or nonwoven carrier portion and a woven or nonwoven reinforcing portion attached to the carrier portion. A method of making a composite sheathing panel is also disclosed.
