摘要： A polymorphic surface may be provided by applying at least one magnetic field across a plurality of movable surface contour elements and selectively passing a current through the magnetic field(s) adjacent selected surface contour elements, with the current being perpendicular to the magnetic field. The current interacts with the magnetic field to generate a Lorentz force driving guided substantially linear motion of the respective surface contour element(s). The surface contour elements may be individually moveable and individually selectable for application of current to generate movement. The surface contour elements may be supported in position after removing the current. The current applied across each selected surface contour element may be varied to control the amount of guided substantially linear motion.

摘要： A direct mold includes a plank frame and a mold surface body held in shape by the plank frame. The plank frame is made of a plurality of planar panels that are aligned transversely to the longitudinal extension of the rotor blade and are arranged spaced with respect to each other in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the rotor blade. The panels of the plank frame have recesses, into which the mold surface body is inserted and which reproduces in its sequence in the plank frame mainly a progression of a contour of a part of a rotor blade profile. The mold surface body has a layer structure that includes a support layer and a sandwich layer. The support layer is made of rails that are aligned in the longitudinal direction of the rotor blade in a manner bridging the distances between the panels.

摘要： Universal mold frames for producing multi-piece golf balls are provided. The mold frames include lower and upper frame plates having locator pins that are inserted into corresponding locator slots in the mold cavities. The eccentric pin layout of the frame plates and corresponding slots in the cavities means the cavities can be fitted easily and aligned in the frame plates. The interior surfaces of the mold cavities define a specific dimple pattern such as icosahedron or tetrahedron-based patterns. The mold frames can accommodate cavities having different dimple patterns. A castable liquid polymer, for example, polyurethane is dispensed into the mold cavities, which are then pressed together to form the spherical cover for the ball.

摘要： A mold rotator with a first section and a second section that are engaged approximately perpendicularly to each other to produce a base and an L-shaped platform for receiving the article. The base of the article rotator may have a curved section at the intersection of the first section and the second section and the article rotator may rotate on its curved section between a first position wherein the article rotator is supported on its first section and a second position wherein the article rotator is supported on its second section. Further, the article rotator allows an article to be safely rotated simply by lowering the article onto the article rotator so that the article rotator automatically rotates approximately 90° from a first position and a second, rotated position. The article rotator may include a stabilizing system wherein the article rotator can be stabilized at both a first position and second position which is approximately 90 degrees from the first position. The stabilizing system may include one or more conduits for transferring a material between the first and second sections of the article rotator so that material will stabilize the article rotator at the section in which the material is positioned to prevent the article rotator from inadvertently rotating. The material of the stabilizing system may be transferred by gravity and the material of the stabilizing system may be a fluid.
