    • The turret for machine tools has a turret disk which is rotatable via a gear unit and can be positioned in determined rotational angle positions, wherein the gear unit also serves to drive a tool drive shaft. A plurality of tool holding devices are provided on the turret disk so as to be distributed on the circumference including a base part and a tool holder which is displaceable relative to the base part vertically relative to the turret axis and adjustable. A feed gear unit is provided in the base part for the tool holder, wherein the feed gear unit can be coupled with the tool drive shaft. The tool holder and accordingly the tool carried by it can accordingly be adjusted in the radial direction. A fixedly arranged tool holder is provided with another tool at the turret disk, so that two parallel surfaces can be machined simultaneously by means of the two tools, wherein the opposite feed movements are effected by means of the carriage carrying the turret on the one hand and by means of the tool holding device on the other hand.

    • A device for lifting work pieces and work piece supports from a conveyor belt and for supporting against operating pressure includes a base, a lift table and a slide disposed therebetween. The slide is movable by means of an adjustment drive between a first end position and a second end position. At least one of the parts is provided with lift faces which are formed by a peripheral segment of a cylinder element. Counter faces which cooperate with the lift faces are formed by rotatably mounted lift rollers which in the operating position of the lift table are released from pressure by supporting faces provided on the base, the lift table and the slide. This device is characterized by short adjustment paths of the slide, low friction faces and also by the end positions of the slide which should not be exactly defined and maintained.

    • A cutting apparatus such as a metal-cutting circular saw apparatus has an axially displaceable shaft for mounting a saw blade. The shaft is hydrostatically supported both in the radial and in the axial direction. To provide for the axial displaceability of the shaft, the shaft is axially hydrostatically supported at one end by means of an annular piston. The piston bears with a radial end portion thereof against a shoulder in the bearing housing, the shoulder projecting into the cylinder in which the piston is displaceable. The piston is of such a cross-sectional shape and elasticity that in an operative position it is elastically pivoted or tilted, thereby reducing the clearance between the piston and the cylinder, so the piston can carry bearing forces in a radial direction, and also eliminating the need for piston sealing means.
