    • A collar for a cleaning or inspection pig which is movable in a pipeline and through the latter. The collar may include an inner fastening region, with respect to a longitudinal center axis of the collar, for fixing the collar to the cleaning or inspection pig. The collar may also include a contact region which is provided for contact against a pipe wall and which is part of an outer segment which is connected to the inner fastening region. The inner fastening region is preferably in advance of the contact region with respect to a direction of movement (F) of the pig. The collar comprises an anchoring segment, the first end of which is arranged on the outer segment and the other, second end of which is arranged, with respect to the longitudinal center axis, further toward the latter and trailing the first end with respect to a direction of movement of the pig. A pig for cleaning or inspecting pipeline pipes may also be provided.

    • A dart assembly for cleaning tubes including at least one annular disk having a first end, a second end, an outer perimeter and at least one longitudinal groove in the outer perimeter extending from the first end to the second end and at least one cutting wheel. The cutting wheel is positioned within the groove such that a portion of the cutting wheel extends into the groove and a portion extends beyond the outer perimeter of the annular disk. The dart assembly may also include at least one scraper disk and the annular disk and the scraper disk may be positioned at opposite ends of a shaft. Also, a method of cleaning a tube where a dart assembly is inserted into the inner diameter of the tube and forced through the tube using pressurized fluid. The dart assembly may have any or all of the features described above.

    • A pig for movement within a pipeline comprising a cylindrical housing with annular seals circumferentially mounted to the housing and extending outwards for sealing engagement between the pipeline and the housing. An internal flow cavity passes through the housing, with a gate positioned within the internal flow cavity, initially obstructing flow through the cavity. A locking device, connected to the gate, prevents the gate opening. A sensing device is capable of receiving a signal and is connected to an unlocking device. The sensing device receives a signal activating the unlocking device, thereby removing the locking device, permitting the gate to open and flow to pass through the cavity.

    • A pig towing device is adapted for movement through a conduit having bends and open T intersections. The pig has a front leading cup and a rear trailing cup adapted to seal with the conduit for propelling the device through the conduit. The leading and trailing cups are spaced apart a predetermined distance to maintain the seal with the conduit as the pig towing device negotiates past the open T intersections. The pig towing device has a flexible body interconnecting the front leading cup and the rear trailing cup. The flexible body is urged normally into a straight position extending along a central axis thereof to maintain the front leading cup and the rear trailing cup spaced apart by the predetermined distance. The flexible body has predetermined limited flexibility permitting it to bend relative to the central axis as the pig towing device negotiates through the bends in the conduit.

    • The polisher shuttle serves to polish the inside walls of cylindrical tubes, in particular tubes for medical use. It comprises radial projections that are flexible along the axial direction, suitable for polishing the inside walls of tubes merely by relative movement between the shuttle and the tube, the shuttle passing inside the tube. In a longitudinal section, the sections of the projections form a series of separate undulations that are long and thin in the radial direction. The polishing method made possible by the shuttle is particularly simple, since a single pass of the shuttle can suffice for performing polishing; the method is thus fast and easy to automate, e.g. in a polisher device of the invention.
