摘要： A diffuser assembly includes a flexible diffuser membrane and a diffuser body. The flexible diffuser membrane defines a perimeter edge bead along four edges. The diffuser body defines an underlying body portion underlying the flexible diffuser membrane, and a perimeter edge frame covering a covered portion of the perimeter edge bead. The edge frame defines an inside surface that conforms to an outside shape of the covered portion of the perimeter edge bead. The perimeter edge frame is integral to the underlying body portion.

摘要： An apparatus comprises a distribution conduit, a diffuser body, and an insert. The distribution conduit defines an aperture. The diffuser body defines a mating tube, at least a portion of the mating tube passing through the aperture, and the mating tube defining a mating tube passage therethrough with an inside sidewall. The insert is at least partially disposed in the mating tube passage and presses against the inside sidewall so as to cause the mating tube to expand. Removal of the mating tube from the distribution conduit is thereby inhibited.

摘要： An aeration system for treating liquid contained in a vessel is provided. The aeration system includes a header pipe and a plurality of lateral pipes coupled to the header pipe. The lateral pipes each have one or more tubular diffuser membranes sleeved therearound. Also provided is a coupling for sealingly joining end portions of two adjacent pipes is provided. The coupling includes two saddle sections and a deformable gasket extending between the pipes. The coupling is adapted for enabling one pipe to be removed and replaced from a series of pipes without substantially moving any adjacent pipes.

摘要： Membrane strip diffusers are disclosed, useful for example in aerating wastewater in activated sludge plants. These diffusers have membranes, diffuser bodies comprising gas conduits and, in addition to the conduits, integral membrane supports elongated in the same general direction. Such conduits are for example co-extruded with the diffuser bodies. The supports are apertured to discharge gas into chambers formed beneath the membranes when they inflate, and the membranes have pores to discharge the gas. Ways to edge- and end-seal the membranes to the diffuser bodies and ways to support the diffusers are also disclosed.

摘要： Membrane strip diffusers are disclosed, useful for example in aerating wastewater in activated sludge plants. These diffusers have membranes, diffuser bodies and gas conduits elongated in the same general direction. Such conduits may be attached to or formed integrally with the diffuser bodies. Gas chambers form beneath the membranes when they inflate, and these are separate from but communicate with the gas conduits, e.g., through passageways distributed along the lengths of the membrane supports. Preferably, the passageway flow cross-sections are small, thus tending toward uniform distribution of gas along the membrane's length. Ways to edge- and end-seal the membranes to the diffuser bodies are also disclosed.

摘要： An apparatus is provided for the gasification or aeration of liquids. Elongated aeration elements are connected to a distribution conduit and have an essentially rigid support tube about which is disposed a membrane of elastomeric material. Compressed gas introduced between the support tube and membrane escapes via slits in the membrane. An elastically deformable fitting is disposed between the distribution conduit and one of the aeration elements, and is disposed in a bore in the conduit. The fitting has an essentially flat portion, one side of which rests against the outer surface of the conduit, and the other side of which rests against an end of the aeration element. A hollow bolt is securely connected to the aeration element and is guided through a bore in the fitting into the interior of the conduit, where it is provided with apertures.

摘要： The Quick Connect Diffuser Assembly of the present invention includes a special saddle in fluid communication with an air distribution header pipe and a diffuser body connected to the special saddle. The saddle is connected to the air distribution header pipe with a two interlocking sections joined on one side with a hinge, and on the other with flanges. The flanges are connected with a wedge piece. The diffuser connects to the upper saddle section with a bayonet type Quick connection. Gas is forced from the air distribution header pipe through an orifice hole in the pipe, then through the saddle and exits the diffuser body through a diffusion membrane. The membrane forms the gas into fine bubbles that aerate liquid contained in a basin. A single saddle assembly is adaptable to mount on either US or Metric pipe, which have different outside diameters, by changing gaskets and an O-ring.

摘要： The diffuser assembly of the present invention includes first and second diffuser bodies in fluid communication with an air distribution pipe. The diffuser assembly further includes a saddle that supports the first diffuser body and the second diffuser body. The saddle is connected to the distribution pipe by a hollow core rivet. Gas is forced from the distribution pipe through the hollow core rivet where the gas passes into the first and second diffuser bodies. The gas exits the first diffuser body through a first diffusion media and exits the second diffuser body through a second diffusion media. The first and second diffusion media form the gas into fine bubbles that serve to facilitate aeration of a fluid.
