    • Methods and games for teaching cognitive and social skills to children with alternative learning styles, particularly children with kinesthetic and/or visual learning styles. Mission-oriented exercises are designed to engage hyperactive children to solve problems. Alternative methods of displaying and sequencing data communicate with visual learners, encouraging flexibility of cognitive thought processes.Various embodiments of games and game parts are disclosed herein. Children are dealt game parts having indicia, such as numbers, letters, or actions. Children configure said parts into linear, curvilinear, radial, or stacked assemblies, producing random, compound permutations of equations to calculate. Children operate the games in a competitive, cooperative social environment. An observer provides feedback. Said games require physical exercise which promotes kinesthetic learning. Said permutations create subgroups of children to interact socially.The inventor contemplates embodiments as electromechanical games, comprised of substantially smaller, plastic game parts, wherein embedded electronic components display indicia and provide feedback.

    • The present invention relates to a puzzle and a method of assembling a puzzle from a plurality of planar puzzle pieces. More particularly, the invention relates to a puzzle having pieces which, when stacked upon each other on completion of the puzzle, define in relief a recognisable image (e.g. of a building or a character). The puzzle comprises a plurality of inter-engaging pieces, wherein: each puzzle piece has on a planar surface thereof a part of an image which is shown as a whole once the puzzle pieces are assembled together in a completed planar jigsaw puzzle; each puzzle piece has a first edge of a first shaped profile; and when the puzzle pieces are removed from the completed planar jigsaw puzzle in a pre-determined sequence related to positioning of the puzzle pieces in the completed planar jigsaw puzzle and stacked in the predetermined sequence then the first edges of the stacked puzzle pieces together define in relief a recognisable image on a first side of the stack.

    • A plurality of relatively rigid elements for arrangement into a three-dimensional (3-D) structure that represents an image; also a method for arranging a plurality of relatively rigid elements into a 3-D structure. Each element has a base-thickness and comprises a top surface, an undersurface, and a wall-surface around its perimeter. The perimeter of each of the elements yielding the image, is shaped to represent a component of the image. The elements are adapted for initial arrangement wherein a juxtaposed wall-surface of each adjacent element comprises a beveled plane. In the initial arrangement, the undersurface of two or more elements can be arranged in a pattern of the image such that beveled planes of juxtaposed wall-surfaces are frictionally-unlocked. The elements are also adapted for positioning into the 3-D structure wherein at least a portion of juxtaposed beveled planes are in releasable friction-interlock and top surfaces of elements are tiered with respect to any adjacent element(s). Images for the 3-D structures can be selected from a wide variety of recognizable images as well as abstract graphic images. Beveled planes of juxtaposed wall-surfaces matched for releasable friction-interlock can be oriented as a declining and inclining sloped pair, or vice versa.
