    • A hiker board game system for efficiently providing a challenging and fast paced game in which players may follow alternate paths around the board during game play. The hiker board game system generally includes a game board including at least one pathway having a plurality of spaces, a plurality of tokens movable along the spaces, a chance element to determine a number of spaces for the tokens to move, a plurality of checkpoints positioned along the spaces and a plurality of progress cards each sequencing the checkpoints in a specific order, wherein the specific order is different for each of the progress cards. Each game player is assigned a token and a unique progress card to layout the specific order that the plurality of checkpoints are to be reached by each game player. A carrying case for the game board is also described.

    • A mountain and cave game, using a game board which depicts both a cave and a mountain, played by two teams who can either explore the cave or climb the mountain with the goal of exiting the cave or reaching the top of the mountain. Each team has a team marker which is moved along the spaces of paths toward the goal. Obstacle, helper, guide, and hope playing cards are provided in various decks. The teams alternate play, wherein obtaining one of the various obstacle cards can prevent a team from moving during their turn. Obtaining a helper card specifically matched to the specific obstacle can overcome that obstacle to allow the team to resume movement. Hope cards can overcome any obstacle but can be used a limited number of times. Guide cards allow movement of the team during their turn through the cave or mountain path.

    • A board game for teaching responsible drinking to a plurality of players has a playing board having a start position and an end position connected by a pathway that extends about the surface of the playing board between the start position and the end position. The board game further includes a plurality of vehicle game pieces, each vehicle game piece being assigned to one of the plurality of players, and a plurality of a taxi game pieces. At least some of the playing positions provide an instruction, the instruction sometimes including a negative consequence of drinking instruction, or a cab calling instruction. The negative consequence of drinking instruction provides for some consequence having a negatively perceived effect upon the player who lands upon the playing position. The cab calling instruction allows the player to replace the vehicle game piece with the taxi game piece. The taxi game piece has the advantage of ignoring any of the negative consequence of drinking instructions upon which it might land, thereby teaching the players the desirability of calling a cab when a drinking.
