The sliding face, at the top end portion, comprises a flat porch section connected to an inclined section of the sliding face via a transition section. The sliding face has at least one of a first guidance marking placed in the flat porch section and having a shape and orientation adapted indicate a predefined evacuation direction in the inclined section of the sliding face and a second guidance marking placed in the transition section and having a shape and orientation adapted to indicate a separation between the flat porch section and the inclined section.

摘要： A room, such as a bedroom, used by a disabled user is provided with a ramp-door installed within an opening in an exterior wall. The ramp-door opens to the outside. Embodiments intended for use on the first floor of a building open to contact the ground directly. Embodiments intended for use on upper floors of a building open to hang against the exterior wall. An overhead rail mounted within the room connects a fixed loading location to the opening of the ramp-door. An extension rail stored within the opening rotates into alignment with the overhead rail to place the rail terminus outside of the building a distance away from the exterior wall. A winch assembly may be driven along the overhead rail. The winch assembly supports a harness that may be raised and lowered, permitting a disabled user to access the outside and be lowered to ground level.

It provides a quick and safe evacuation for all fire victims, including the A.D.A., the injured and the elderly. Its spiral design can accommodate a large number of floor levels. It eliminates the hazards acquainted with stairs and elevators. It has the capability of removing some of the smoke from the high-rise fire by way of a metal Ducting System. It draws the smoke into the center smoke shaft. The spiral is a two-way traffic pathway, which offers Fire Department personnel and their equipment a method of upward transportation to any floor-level they need for fighting this fire incident. My design can be retrofitted to any existing building.
