摘要： Embodiments provide apparatus and methods for producing markings in the skin. One embodiment provides an apparatus for marking the skin comprising a housing and reservoir for storing a skin colorant. An electrode is positioned within the housing so as to be electrically coupled to the colorant in the reservoir and is configured to be coupled to a current source and return electrode. A colorant applicator having at least one fluid pathway is coupled to a housing distal end. The applicator proximal end is positioned such that the fluid pathway is coupled with the reservoir. The applicator distal end applies colorant to the skin surface through the fluid pathway as the applicator is moved across the skin. The electrode delivers current from the current source to the skin to transport charged pigment elements of the colorant into the skin using an electromotive driving force to produce a marking in the skin.

摘要： A tattooing device is designed for ingraining a design on the skin. The tattooing device includes an electric drive motor with a rotatable motor pin. The motor pin defines an axis of rotation. A rotatable actuator cam is operatively connected to the motor pin, and comprises a cam post axially offset from the motor pin and the axis of rotation. An elongated drive shaft is operatively connected to the cam post, such that rotation of the actuator cam effects simultaneous substantially linear reciprocating movement of the drive shaft. A needle assembly is operatively connected to the drive shaft, and adapted for carrying a pointed tattooing needle for penetrating the skin.

摘要： A method of treating a medical condition resulting from a tattoo has the steps of cleaning at least one surface of the tattoo; preparing a plurality of needles to administer a formulation of a solution containing aloe, less than about 30% salt, carboxymethylcellulose and distilled water; covering the surface of the tattoo surrounding area with injections of the solution until the selected area has a different appearance; spreading the solution on the surface of the tattoo to provide a coating, and permitting the solution to dry. Preferably the salt is Himalayan salt.

摘要： Bioactive agents are cutaneously delivered by a jet dispenser using inkjet technology, such as that used in printing. The dispenser propels precise volumes of bioactive agent toward the skin, where they exert a local or topical effect, or move through the skin for transdermal systemic delivery. Drugs are either delivered directly to the skin, or are introduced into a transdermal patch, which may receive repeated dosages. A controller in the dispenser may control delivery of multiple different drugs, timing of drug administration, or change drug regimens in response to a changing medical condition of a patient, such as those monitored by a sensor in communication with the controller, for example to prevent an overdose. The dispenser may act as an electromechanical patch, capable of long term administration of drugs to the skin, to achieve local or systemic pharmaceutical effects. Administration methods are also provided, along with replacement kits.
