摘要： A method and apparatus to detect environmental triggers of stress and antecedent physiological stress symptoms of a patient, followed up with delivery of stress relieving therapeutic response to the patient and a chronological report of events. An embodiment comprises a first device worn by the patient that contains sensors and can transmit and receive signals and a second device used by the caregiver that can transmit and receive signals. This integrated system continuously monitors environmental triggers and physiological stress indicative parameters of a patient diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder, or other emotional or physical disorders, and compares these parameters against thresholds for the parameters. These thresholds can be configured automatically by the system—based on past episodes—or manually by the caregiver, or using automatically configured thresholds that are fine-tuned by the caregiver. When the parameters exceed the configured thresholds, several responses can be automatically generated by the system including: 1) generating therapeutic calming responses and cues to the patient to alleviate the episode, 2) sending notifications to the caregiver's device for intervention, and 3) creating a chronological assessment report of environmental stress triggers, antecedent physiological stress symptoms, and the resultant behavior of the patient.

摘要： The standing step trainer is a device that allows a user to engage in movement that is similar to walking, although less strenuous. The standing step trainer assists users in raising their center of mass after it has been lowered via plantar flexion, ankle flexion, dorsiflexion, and knee flexion. Because users receive an assist in returning to an upright, neutral standing position, they are able to move on the standing step trainer for extended periods of time. This type of movement has been shown to provide myriad health benefits including an increase in the flow of nitric oxide throughout the blood. The methods of the present invention disclose using the standing step trainer to attain these and many other health benefits while working at a desk, watching television, attending class, or any other activity that has heretofore been done from a sitting or standing position.

摘要： A method for relief of pain comprises applying skin stimulation along one or two treatment lines traversing vertically the scalp of the subject above the eyes thereof. Skin stimulation may be accomplished by one or several techniques including acupuncture, corona discharge, applying an electromagnetic field, massaging, vibration, subcutaneous injection of stimulating fluids, light, or heating. Suitable head-mounted devices supporting skin stimulation units are described to allow self-use by the subject itself or the method to be administered by a medical personnel.
