摘要： A medical device for treating hip joint osteoarthritis in a human patient by providing at least one artificial hip joint surface is provided. The hip joint having a ball shaped caput femur as the proximal part of the femoral bone with a convex hip joint surface towards the centre of the hip joint and a bowl shaped etabulum as part of the pelvic bone with a concave hip joint surface towards the centre of the hip joint. The medical device comprises the artificial hip joint surface comprising at least one of; an artificial caput femur or an artificial caput femur surface comprising, a convex form towards the centre of the hip joint, and an artificial acetabulum or an artificial acetabulum surface comprising, a concave form towards the centre of the hip joint. The artificial convex caput femur or the artificial convex caput femur surface is adapted to be fixated to the pelvic bone of the human patient and the artificial concave acetabulum or artificial concave acetabulum surface is adapted to be fixated to the femoral bone of the human patient.

摘要： A collar arranged to couple to a prosthetic component for implantation at the end of a long bone, the prosthetic component having a distal portion arranged to couple to the bone and a proximal neck portion arranged to couple to an articulation component. The collar comprises a plate including a neck hole to receive a neck portion, such that the collar can rotate about the neck portion. The collar further comprises a plurality of attachment portions for coupling the plate to bone fragments or soft tissues. The collar is lockable to the neck portion to prevent further rotation. A prosthesis comprising a combination of a collar, a prosthetic component and an articulation component, and a surgical method of using the collar are also disclosed.

摘要： An implant, prosthesis and method of use are described. The implant comprises an articulation component having a bearing surface and a reverse surface arranged to couple to a proximal neck portion of an arthroplasty implant coupled to a bone. A collar is arranged to couple to the reverse surface of the articulation component. The collar defines a neck hole arranged to pass around the coupling between the articulation component and the proximal neck portion of the arthroplasty implant. The collar and the articulation component comprise complementary coupling features to secure the collar to the articulation component. The collar further comprises a plurality of attachment portions to couple the collar to bone fragments or soft tissues. The prosthesis comprises the implant and an arthroplasty implant having a distal portion arranged to be coupled to an end of a long bone and a proximal neck portion.

摘要： A medical device for treating hip joint osteoarthritis by providing a joint surface is provided. The medical device has at least two artificial hip joint surface parts adapted to be connected to each other to form an artificial hip joint surface during an operation. A method of treating a hip joint of a human patient by providing the medical device is also provided. The method includes cutting the skin of the human patient, dissecting an area of the pelvic bone on the opposite side from the acetabulum, creating a hole in the dissected area passing through the pelvic bone and into said hip joint and providing the medical device to the hip joint, through the hole in the pelvic.

摘要： A methodology for grafting together adjacent bony structures is provided using an implant device having an endplate with an inner disc portion and outer ring portion spaced from the inner disc portion by a connecting wall disposed therebetween. An endplate interior surface includes a retaining structure for securing the endplate to one of the bony structures, and endplate an exterior surface has an integrally formed socket. A ball-joint rod has a longitudinally extending body and an end, and at least a portion of the ball-joint rod end is curvilinear in shape. The curvilinear ball-joint rod end is rotatably disposed in the endplate socket to fixedly interconnect the bony structures.

摘要： A delivery system comprising a biodegradable single or multi compartment covering is provided. The covering can be a mesh bag including a pre-attached detachable holding member surrounding the opening of at least one compartment and a pre-attached removable filling member configured to fit within the opening of the at least one compartment. The opening of the bag can include a closing member. The pre-attached detachable holding member can be a collar including finger grips and is used to hold the bag in one position while filling it. In some embodiments, the pre-attached detachable filling member can be a funnel for loading the mesh bag with bone graft material. Once the covering is filled, the holding member and filling member can be removed and the covering is closed with a closing member such as a drawstring. A method of treatment utilizing the delivery system is also provided.

The method includes placing a guard against the posterior aspect of the spine, the guard having a passage therethrough, inserting the bone removal device into the passage, removing a portion of a facet joint with the bone removal device to create the socket having a maximum height, and inserting the cortical bone implant into the socket. The cortical bone implant has a leading end, a trailing end, a mid-longitudinal axis through the ends, and a height transverse to the mid-longitudinal axis, the height of the cortical bone implant being greater than the maximum height of the socket.
