摘要： Apparatus and method for installing a multi-tooth dental prosthesis in one session are shown and described. A first tool attaches to the jawbone, and serves as a foundation for subsequently used guides. Existing teeth and dental fixtures are removed, and the bone tissue is removed to accommodate the prosthesis. Subsequently, a drill guide is used to drill implant holes. An abutment guide is then used to place abutments. Copings are then installed. Next, the prosthesis may be installed and cemented to the copings. A resinous filler material may be applied to fill gaps and holes in and between the copings and the prosthesis, and is sanded smooth.

The cover surrounds an interior space which is open to the first end section and in which a holder is arranged. The holder has a channel that is open to the outside and is formed to hold an implant extension during transport. The receptacle has a tubular bottom receptacle including an outer third end section and an opposing fourth end section. Three spring arms are arranged in the cover at an outer first end. The spring arms are so designed that the nubs thereof are pushed away during insertion of the implant extension and, in the final position, push into the groove with a tensioning force.

摘要： A partially customizable single-piece dental implant includes a preformed bone-anchorage component and an abutment component that is custom milled from a block either preoperatively, (i.e., Process A) or intraoperatively, (i.e., Process B). In Process A, the planned abutment shape is designed by a computer-aided design (CAD) software based on a computerized tomographic scan and other patient data. Alternatively, under Process B, the position of the planned implant with respect to the alveolus is digitally captured (e.g., by an optical impression device or an intraoperative computerized tomographic scan). In both Process A and Process B, a blank implant having the millable block is held to allow a computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) machine to customize the abutment component, as well as part of the bone-anchorage component. The resultant dental implant is then inserted in the alveolus and either a provisional or permanent prosthesis can then be immediately loaded on the implant.

摘要： An implant placement trephine may be used to drill into bone and also to bore a core of bone for purposes of forming an implant channel for implant placement. The trephine generally includes a trephine body with a cutting blade at one end and a spindle extending through the trephine body with a pilot drill at one end extending beyond the cutting blade. The spindle may be adjustably attached to the trephine body to allow the pilot drill to be adjusted relative to the trephine cutting blade. The trephine may be prepackaged with an implant, such as a dental implant, having a corresponding size. The implant placement trephine may be used for different osteotomy applications, for example, to form a channel for dental implants or orthopedic retaining stabilizers. The trephine may also facilitate harvesting bone from the core of bone removed for an autograft at the implant site.

摘要： Systems and methods are disclosed for sterile delivery of prostheses that protect refined and/or conditioned surface properties and thereby reduce aging of surface properties in prostheses. An example of the system includes a partially custom-shaped holder that also serves as an insertion tool that holds a customized dental prosthesis in a pre-defined position inside a titanium container that is hermetically sealed. Container materials serve as a getter or catalyst with respect to the osseoconductive surface. An example of the method includes laser welding to hermetically seal a metal container as packaging for a prosthesis with a metal foil, and the sterilization of the packaged and sealed prosthesis with dry heat.
