摘要： A foot imaging apparatus includes a support structure and a flexible membrane suspended from the support structure and configured to receive a foot thereon. The apparatus also includes a three-dimensional imager located under the flexible membrane and configured to acquire a topographical plantar image of the foot on the flexible membrane. The apparatus further includes a monitoring unit for monitoring a monitored region in order to evaluate a positioning of the foot on the flexible membrane. The monitoring unit includes a camera having a field of view, and at least one light deflector arranged to deflect light from the monitored region into the field of view of the camera. The camera acquires a monitoring image of the monitored region after deflection by the at least one light deflector. The monitoring image contains information about the positioning of the foot on the flexible membrane. A foot imaging method is also provided.

摘要： A method of maintaining patient registration in surgical navigation includes: obtaining a patient position in a tracking system frame of reference, based on a fiducial marker array affixed in a first position relative to the patient; receiving an initial surface scan depicting the patient and the fiducial array; responsive to receiving an intraoperative image depicting the patient: obtaining a position, in the tracking system frame of reference, of the fiducial array affixed in a second position relative to the patient; receiving a secondary surface scan depicting the patient and the fiducial array; detecting a deviation in a position of the fiducial marker array relative to the patient between the initial and secondary surface scans; and applying the deviation to the position of the patient to generate an updated position of the patient in the tracking system frame of reference, based on the fiducial array affixed in the second position.

摘要： A system (10) for detecting and displaying baropostural parameters comprises a platform (11) with a footplate (15) intended to accommodate a person standing on it and provided with sensors for detecting the pressure distribution of the imprint of the two feet on the footplate. An electronic acquisition device (32) is connected to the sensors for digital acquisition of the pressure distribution in order to create a map of the pressure points of the feet on the footplate. Calculation means (33a) are designed to calculate, for each foot and for both feet on the footplate, the geometric centres (52, 53, 54) and the barycentres (55, 56, 57) of the map of the pressures and display means (33b) display on a screen (31) a graphical representation of the imprints of the two feet on the footplate together with the corresponding geometric centres (52, 53, 54) and barycentres (55, 56, 57) calculated by the calculation means. The footplate may have a rear part (15) which can be raised for simulating shoe heels underneath the heels. Front and/or lateral telecameras (19, 20) may be provided in order to provide further postural data.

摘要： A system and a method is presented that includes monitoring in real time the position and movement of the head with regard to a visual stimulator during videonystagmography (VNG) or electronystagmography (ENG) studies in a patient. Ultrasound sensors and emitters are used combined with gyroscopes as gravity detectors, or other devices. The signals of the sensors are processed by software that carries out positioning monitoring that facilitates the operation of the operator and makes a quality control of the diagnostic maneuvers, thus providing a test reproducible method for patients. Reproducibility is ensured by means of acceptance limits provided by the software. The invention provides a way of ensuring the reproducibility according to ANSI standard in the tests by guiding the operators throughout the process so that they may conduct the tests in the same way for all patients. This inventive portable system can be use in any physician's office.

At least one partial view of an examination object is subsequently generated and compared with a stored standard view, on which at least one accessory required for the examination mode is displayed. The comparison checks whether the at least one accessory is present on the partial view of the examination object. The result of the comparison is indicated to the user to ensure that the necessary accessories are present at a beginning of an actual examination even with a plurality of possible measuring methods.

摘要： A method of monitoring a patient's foot forms a thermogram of the sole of at least one foot of the patient, and determines whether the thermogram presents at least one of a plurality of prescribed patterns. The method also compares the thermogram against a prior thermogram of the same foot, and produces output information indicating the emergence of an ulcer on a given portion on the at least one foot as a function of 1) whether the thermogram is determined to present the at least one pattern, and 2) the comparison with the prior thermogram, which shows non-ulcerated tissue at the given location.
