摘要： The current invention features a rod screw for medical application that can be configured and used to fixate fracture of bones varying in shape and dimension, and treating maladies such as scoliosis, and securing an implanted device, to tissue such as bone. This is achieved by designing a flexible rod screw with a mechanism to lock the configuration in a rigid state. In an embodiment, a bone-fracture fixation device, such as a rod screw, includes a flexible body, a plurality of flexible members, and first and second interfaces. The flexible members are disposed longitudinally within the flexible body, such that the flexible body is rigid when the flexible members are fixed into position. And the first and second interfaces are respectively coupled to the flexible body, each of at least one of the first and second interfaces including a respective at least one hole each configured to receive a respective attachment member configured to engage a bone.

摘要： A femur plate is provided, the femur plate comprising a first end portion anatomically pre-formed to conform to a trochanter region of the femur and a second end portion anatomically pre-formed to conform to a condyle region of the femur, wherein the second end portion comprises at least one first opening configured to receive a bone fastener. The femur plate further comprises an elongate shaft extending from the first end portion to the second end portion, the elongate shaft comprising at least one second opening configured to receive a bone fastener. Furthermore, a periprosthetic implant system comprising the femur plate and a method of implanting the femur plate are provided.

摘要： A screw device for compressing and fixing together a proximal and distal bone part along a surgical axis comprising: a bone screw portion comprising an elongate body inscribed with bone screw threads at a leading end of an outer surface of said body; an elongate tubular torque stabilizer portion for spanning said bone parts and comprising one or more torsion stops to engage each bone part to limit rotational movement between the bone parts and a translation stop on said torque stabilizer to seat against a portion of the proximal bone to limit translation of said torque stabilizer portion along the surgical axis; and a compressor lock portion engaging the bone screw portion and torque stabilizer portion to draw said bone screw portion proximally along the surgical axis toward said translation stop therein compressing said bone parts together.

摘要： A screw for fixation of, for example, a fracture having a hollow shaft, a first outer thread and radial openings at its distal end, and a second outer thread and an inner engagement portion at its proximal end. The second outer thread is adapted to engage with a tissue protection sleeve. The inner engagement portion is adapted to fit to a driving end of a driving tool. By way of this, forces in axial or radial direction may be applied to the screw by the sleeve, and forces in rotational direction may be applied by the driving tool. Therefore, the screw can be installed accurately at the intended site in an object.
