摘要： Devices, systems, and methods are provided for managing suture filaments when performing soft tissue repair. One exemplary embodiment of a surgical suture management device is in the form of a suture loop management card. The card can generally be configured to hold open a collapsible loop of suture until a force applied to the loop is greater than a threshold tension. The card can include a number of different features that help to keep the loop open until the threshold tension is achieved, including features designed to prevent the filament from being mistakenly offloaded. The card can be configured to be removably inserted into a handle of an inserter tool for use as a surgical tissue repair system. Other devices, systems, and methods for performing soft tissue repair are also provided.

摘要： A method for inserting a stitch through tissue around a hole in an abdominal muscle or a hollow organ includes: inserting into the hole a body assembly having penetration members that move from an in-line position to a deployed position, and a suture cartridge assembly secured to a forward end of the body assembly, the suture cartridge assembly having opposing arm members that move from an in-line position to a deployed position and each holding a capture sleeve to which an end of a suture cord is secured; simultaneously deploying the penetration members through the tissue around the hole and into the arm members such that the penetration members capture the capture sleeves; and simultaneously retracting the penetration members and the arm members such that the ends of the suture are retracted with the penetration members through the tissue around the hole and into the body assembly.

摘要： A gastropexy kit includes a plurality of safety needle assemblies. Each safety needle assembly includes a needle and a stylus. A fastener is positioned in a distal end of the needle. The fastener is coupled to one end of the suture and a suture retention hub is coupled to an opposite end of the suture. The fastener is deployed in a patient's stomach via the needle and stylus which has a blunt distal end which extends through the needle to push the fastener out of the needle and to blunt the needle. The suture retention hub is positioned on a patient's skin and adjustably tensions the suture, which, desirably, is a resorbable suture.
