摘要： The present specification is directed towards endoscopes, such as colonoscopes, that provide a broader field of view and allow extended access of surgical tools and also enable efficient packing of all necessary elements in the tip section, while maintaining their functionality. Also described are methods and systems for capturing and displaying still and video images using an endoscope corresponding to a left-side looking, a front-looking and a right-side looking viewing element of an endoscopic tip generated in a native aspect ratio.

摘要： A system for performing minimally invasive procedures in a working space within a body lumen of a patient including a flexible catheter configured to receive a working instrument therethrough. The flexible catheter has a working space expanding system positioned at the distal portion, the working space expanding system including first and second flexible elements movable from a non-expanded insertion position to an expanded position forming an expanded region to expand the working space within the body. The first and second flexible elements are connected at a distal region by a coupling structure. A stabilizing member stabilizes the distal portion of the flexible catheter.

摘要： Described herein are embodiments directed to a remotely controlled bronchoscope arrangement that uses an off-the-shelf hand-held bronchoscope to provide distance between a medical professional and a patient. The bronchoscope arrangement comprises an off-the-shelf hand-held bronchoscope that is remotely controlled by cables that mechanically drive the general movement of the bronchoscope. The bronchoscope generally comprises an insertion tube that extends from a handle, which is bent via an insertion tube articulating actuator and rotated by a rotatable insertion tube cogwheel. The rotatable insertion tube cogwheel is configured to rotate the insertion tube about an axis at least where the insertion tube connects to the handle. The rotatable insertion tube cogwheel positions an insertion tube tip angularly about the axis.
