摘要： A ticket scraping device for scraping an obscurant layer off of a ticket includes a housing that is substantially rectangularly box shaped. A first slot is centrally positioned in a top of the housing. The first slot is sized such that an end of a ticket is insertable into the first slot. A second slot is complementary to the first slot and is positioned in a front of the housing. A wall extends from a perimeter of the first slot to a rim of the second slot, defining a channel that extends from the first slot to the second slot. A scraper is coupled to the wall and extends into the channel. The first slot is configured for insertion of the ticket and the scraper is configured to remove an obscurant layer from the ticket as the ticket is directed past the scraper to the second slot.

摘要： A dual purpose, single use wood grill brush for cleaning a grilling surface and thereafter providing a flavor enhancing smoke. The device is a thin sheet of wood selected for the flavor enhancing characteristics of the smoke therefrom when slowly burned, which sheet is desirably soaked in water to make the wood flexible so that it may be manually used to clean the grilling surface prior to grilling, and then deposited on the heat source where it smokes rather than flames because of the absorbed water content. Exposing the food being grilled to such smoke during the grilling process provide a unique flavor to the food. One embodiment of the device includes a flat edge on one end and a plurality of longitudinally extending fingers at the other end, both useful in the cleaning process. Other embodiments of the device specifically for grilling surfaces with spaced parallel rods include a thin sheet of wood with notches for selectively cleaning the entire surface of the rods. Methods are also disclosed.

摘要： A multi-use tool device is provided with an actuator that is moveable to turn a tool relative to the tool device to change the angle of attack of the tool to the work or to change to a different work surface on the fool. Further, the tool device is releasably connected to the tool without the use of threaded fasteners or wrenches. An actuator on the tool is moved to release the tool and preferably to push the tool from the tool device so that the user need not touch a dirty or spent tool that may be coated with an adhesive, mastic or the like. Conversely, the tool may be attached by pushing the tool relative to the tool device. Also, the preferred tool is made in one piece with a connecting portion and a turning portion thereon. The illustrated tool has an upstanding post and angularly spaced teeth that cooperate with the tool device to allow the connected tool to be turned relative to the tool body. In the preferred method of use of the tool, a common actuator in the form of a push button is pushed with a light force to turn the tool relative to the tool device and is pushed with a greater force to eject the tool from the tool device. The preferred tool is made inexpensively and in one piece. The tool device is lightweight and made mostly of inexpensive plastic parts. The tool device may have a body shaped to fit a person's hand or have a handle projecting therefrom for gripping by the user or to receive an extension pole.

摘要： A scraper for use with solvents and cleaners, particularly gel-type solvents which do not soak into carpet, to remove gum, grease, paint, and wax from carpeting. The scraper is preferably a single piece of plastic having an elongate handle portion which is held in hand generally parallel to the carpet and which handle curves downwardly ending in a working portion having a textured surface disposed generally parallel to the carpet. The textured surface preferably includes a plurality of transverse, forward-tipped teeth such that after application of the solvent to the gum, grease, paint, or wax, the scraper is moved in a forward, vertical, semi-circular motion such that the teeth engage the gum, grease, paint, or wax in a single direction parallel to the carpet and then lifted therefrom and moved backwards for a repeat stroke. The teeth act to agitate and work the gel into the gum, grease, paint, or wax, producing small waves of loosened material. The gel acts to prevent the gum, grease, paint, or wax from sticking to itself and to the scraper to aid in the removal by hand thereof.

摘要： The present invention is a hand held tool for removing coatings from a substrate. The hand held tool includes a housing having a front section with an outlet, a mid section with an inlet, and a rear section, a heat source disposed within the front section of the housing for emitting heat through the outlet, and a vacuum source disposed within the mid section of the housing for providing suction through the inlet. The hand held coating remover further includes a power source disposed within the rear section for supplying power to the heat source and the vacuum source, a control panel having a heat controller for adjusting and controlling the heat emitted from the heat source through the outlet and a vacuum controller for adjusting and controlling the suction provided by the vacuum through the inlet, and a blade located adjacent to the inlet and resiliently coupled to the housing. The coating is safely removed from the substrate by first heating the coating, moving the blade across the heated coating to scape the coating, and vacuuming the coating as it is scraped or removed from the substrate. Also, any fumes that are created when the coating is heated is easily removed by the vacuum.
