摘要： Provided is a whirlpool bathtub with improved placement of a condenser of a motor in a pump used to circulate water in the whirlpool bathtub. As the whirlpool bathtub in which a pump 20 including a motor 30 and an impeller 40 is installed in an internal space 11 of a bathtub body 10, there is provided a whirlpool bathtub 1 in which a condenser 31 which is connected to the motor 30 for driving the motor 30 is installed at the outside of the bathtub body 10 rather than the internal space 11 of the bathtub body 10, and as a result, when the condenser 31 of the motor 30 is repaired, the bathtub body 10 needs not to be separated from a bathroom 2.

Each of the telescopic modules is independently extended and retracted in length by increase or decrease of the volume of water contained within a bellows, establishing in selected telescopic modules a specific reef size, shape, and orientation. When kinetic-energy within the water passes over the predetermined shape, size, and orientation of the reef, a wave is generated having specific features resulting from the properties of the specific reef configuration.

The apparatus includes a pneumatic pump fluidically coupled to the whirlpool hydraulic plumbing system of a whirlpool bathtub, such that air pressure from the pneumatic pump can be used to flush standing water out of the hydraulic plumbing after each use of the whirlpool bathtub. The pneumatic plumbing connecting the air pump to the hydraulic plumbing system is positioned substantially above the maximum water level allowed in the tub and also substantially above the hydraulic plumbing system. The pneumatic plumbing is connected in fluidic communication with different portions of the hydraulic plumbing, such that activation of the pneumatic pump (after the tub has been substantially drained) forces residual water from the whirlpool hydraulic plumbing system into the bathtub, where it can be conventionally drained.

摘要： A suction-actuated control system (10) for a whirlpool bath/spa installation includes a suction-side transducer (52) connected in the suction inlet path and a controller (54). The suction-side transducer (52) transmits an air pulse to the controller (54) when pressure in the suction path drops below a pre-determined value caused, for example, by a full or partial blockage of a suction cover (26) by a wash cloth or an article of clothing. The controller (54) includes an electric switch (62) in circuit with the recirculation pump (34) and a bi-state controller (66) that actuates the electric switch (62) between its ON state and its OFF state. An abnormally low pressure in the suction path to the recirculation pump (34) caused by a full or partial blockage of the suction cover (26) will cause the controller (54) to shut-off the recirculation pump (34). After the obstruction is removed and a short time delay, the user can actuate a user ON/OFF control (56) to restart the pump (34).
