摘要： A latching removable can handle includes an elongated handle, a lower retainer structure to engage a lower rim of a can, and an upper attachment mechanism to releasably engage an upper rim of the can and including latch member mounting structure. The attachment mechanism includes a single latch member directly engaged with the mounting structure which and movable between a released position and a latched position. The attachment mechanism may include a lock member movable between an unlocked position and a locked position in which it retains the latch member in its latched position.

The shell is in one piece. Thus the number of parts necessary for producing the device is particularly small and the production of the device on an industrial scale is greatly facilitated.

摘要： To construct a detachable handle for a pot or container so that it is both slender and short, the pot or container handle is mountable on a supporting member of the container having two side pieces oriented in the same direction extending from the container and is engageable and lockable by a retaining member secured behind inclined projections on said supporting member and slidably supported parallel to the container wall between handle shoulders located transverse to the attaching direction of the handle. The retaining member of the handle can be a rigid bar which is associated with a spring element, has a flame protector surrounding the handle contacting portion and is inserted in lateral grooves opening to the container front side and running along both long sides on the container side handle end portion. The supporting member side pieces can also each be inserted in each of the lateral grooves. The spring element acting to secure the retaining member can be a leg spring inserted in a cavity between the lateral grooves braced with one spring leg on the bar to secure it and with the other spring leg held in place in the handle. The lateral grooves for the side pieces are covered exteriorly by the flame protector.

摘要： A handle apparatus for a utensil includes a supporting bracket secured to a wall of the utensil and having a leg projecting away from the utensil, a handle having a recess therein for receiving the leg, and a retaining mechanism disposed in the handle recess and cooperable with the leg for releasably securing the handle on the utensil. The leg includes spaced first and second portions which project outwardly from the utensil well, a third portion extending between the outer ends of the first and second portions, and fourth and fifth portions respectively provided at the inner ends of the first and second portions and secured to the utensil wall. The first and second portions converge away from the utensil wall and the third portion is approximately parallel to the utensil wall, so that the leg is of generally trapezoidal shape.
