摘要： A garment hanger includes a hook and an arm. The hook is configured to receive a support rod, and the arm is coupled to the hook and extends outwardly to a free arm end. The arm includes a first substantially planar panel and a top panel extending rearwardly from a top edge of the first substantially planar panel. The arm further includes an indentation and a finger. The indentation is defined adjacent the first substantially planar panel to be at least partially open in a direction facing away from the first substantially planar panel. The indentation defines an outermost edge nearest the free arm end and an innermost end nearest the hook. The finger extends from one of the outermost edge and the innermost edge of the indentation toward the other and is configured to hold a portion of a garment within the indentation.

The pinch-grip includes first and second components extending substantially vertically from the hanger and cooperatively defining a pivot axis, each of the components including an upper end extending above the pivot axis and a lower end extending below the pivot axis. A spring force biases the lower ends together to a closed position and permits separation of the lower ends to an open position by pivotal movement of at least one of the upper ends towards the other upper end. A releasable lock can be activated to hold the lower ends of the components in the open position.

摘要： A pinch clip for a garment hanger, and a garment hanger having such pinch clip, is disclosed. The clip includes an opposable retaining member spring biased into a closed position against a flange formed on one end of the main support of the hanger. The main support includes a through-hole, gap, or opening through which the proximal finger-grip end of the retaining member may pass when the pinch clip is opened. The distal end of the retaining member abuts the flange when it is in the closed position. When force is applied to the proximal end, the clip opens, and the proximal end nests inside and passes through the through-hole. In this way, the clip can be made substantially coplanar with the main support of the hanger, and a more streamlined hanger is the result. The invention may also be molded from a single mold, thereby simplifying the manufacturing process. A ridge is provided around one end of the retaining member for preventing clothing from getting caught between the proximal finger-grip portion of the retaining member and the main support of the hanger.
