Polymer is stored in a reservoir in the body of the toothbrush before being heated and urged into an extrusion cavity by a screw housed in the reservoir. Molten polymer is extruded through bristle apertures on the extrusion face found on the brush head to form bristles by the action of an extrusion mold plunger.
