The housing outlet of the blower/vac includes guides that interact with longitudinal ribs on the blower tube and the vacuum bag collar to reduce unwanted rotational deflection of the blower tube and vacuum bag collar when either is engaged on the housing outlet. The blower/vac includes an improved vacuum tube for use of the blower/vac in the vacuum mode.

    • A water removal apparatus is provided which enables the user to remove water from a wet surface, such as a back yard lawn or sports field. The apparatus includes a frame structure, a press member, and a water removal system. The press member is rotatably mounted to the frame structure. The press member has openings through which water passes. The water is temporarily collected within the press member as the press member is rolled across the wet surface. The water removal system removes the water from the press cylinder and places it in a storage member. The water may then be transported to a different area, and the storage member drained.

    • An adjustable nozzle for use with a chipper-shredder vacuum for vacuuming debris from an outdoor surface is disclosed. The nozzle has an inlet for directing debris into the nozzle. The inlet has a first side, a middle section, a second side, and a non-inlet area. The first side has a first nozzle inlet, the middle section has a middle nozzle inlet, the second side has a second nozzle inlet. The cross-sectional areas of the first and second nozzle inlets are greater than the cross-sectional area of the middle nozzle inlet to equalize vacuum force throughout the nozzle. The nozzle further includes a nozzle extension that extends below the nozzle and an adjustment apparatus for adjusting the height of the nozzle extension from the ground to conform the chipper-shredder vacuum to the terrain. The nozzle extension may be raised for bumpy or thick terrain or lowered for a flat terrain.

    • A leaf collection apparatus includes a vacuum generating apparatus for collecting leaves. An enclosure for holding leaves is connected to the vacuum generating apparatus. The enclosure includes a screened opening. A dust shroud is connected to the enclosure and covers the screened opening. A recirculating means connects the dust shroud to the vacuum generating apparatus. Leaf dust is removed from the dust shroud and recirculated to the vacuum generating apparatus. The preferred enclosure is a leaf collection box including a screened opening in the top wall and a screened opening in the rear wall. Preferably the vacuum generating apparatus including a fan inside a housing.
