摘要： A control unit of a lawn mower performs switching control for switching operation between a first control mode and a second mode. In the first control mode, during rotation of an engine at a first reference rotation speed, in the case where a change amount of rotation speed of the engine per unit time has exceeded a reference speed change amount, the rotation speed is maintained at a second reference rotation speed, and an flap angle is increased. In the second control mode, during rotation of the engine at a second reference rotation speed, in the case where an opening angle of a throttle valve has fallen below a reference opening angle, the rotation speed is maintained at the first reference rotation speed, and the flap angle is decreased. The second reference rotation speed is higher than the first reference rotation speed.

摘要： A material collection system sensor includes a paddle pivotably mounted to a tunnel on a collection container floor. The forward end of the paddle is adjacent a front of the collection container and the rearward end is adjacent a rear of the collection container. A switch mounted to the tunnel under the paddle has an actuator extending above the tunnel that is actuatable by downward pivotal movement of the paddle. A sensitivity adjuster attached to the tunnel under the paddle has a sensitivity adjustment knob outside the collection container which compresses or relaxes a spring extending upwardly against the paddle.

摘要： A lawn mower comprising a frame, an engine mounted on the frame, a cutting mechanism driven by the engine constructed and arranged to cut grass and to generate grass clippings, a bag for collecting said grass clippings, and a bag-full indicating assembly. The bag-full indicating assembly includes an indicator that indicates to a mower operator that the bag is substantially full in response to a bag-full signal, and a switch which can be activated to generate the bag-full signal. The switch comprises a grass-contacting member extending into the bag. The grass-contacting member is movable from a non-activated state to an activated state by being displaced by grass clipping build-up within the bag. The switch thereby enables the bag-full signal for the indicator so that the indicator indicates to the mower operator that the bag is substantially full.

An air flow indicator signals an operator as to the need to empty the bag. A view window in the enclosing hood allows the operator to observe the indicator.

A grass checker (50), connected to hood (20), is used to check the level of accumulated grass beneath hood (20) to determine when it would be appropriate to empty bag assemblies (40) of their accumulated grass clippings. In order to prevent grass clippings from leaking between bag assemblies (40) and hood (20), and to keep hood (20) from popping open when lawn tractor (14) is driven over rough ground, a pair of latches (70) is included to releasably secure hood (20) to bag assemblies (40).
