摘要： A releasable hinge for attaching tonneau covers to the cargo compartment of pickup trucks. The hinge has a hinge mechanism fastened to the bottom or underside of the tonneau cover. A complementary locking tab is mounted to the cab end of the cargo compartment. The hinge mechanism has a plate with a locking tongue that is received in a locking channel in the locking tab to latch the tonneau cover to the cargo compartment. To remove the tonneau cover from the cargo compartment, the tonneau cover is raised above a predetermined angle which disengages the locking tongue from the locking channel. This allows the hinge to separate from the locking tab. Any gas struts are released from their mounting brackets and the tonneau cover can be removed from the cargo compartment.

摘要： A thermoplastic sheet is thermoformed to produce a bedliner with molded side walls which extend under the side rails of a pick-up truck. Each liner side wall has dished portions or recesses on each side of the truck box wheel well. The recesses extend beneath the truck box rail and provide access to truck box side wall structure such as board holders. Each recess is defined by a skirt which extends outwardly from the inner portions of the side wall to a generally vertical outward side wall panel which defines the outward portion of the recess. The skirt extends horizontally, for example in the plane of the board holder pocket, and extends upwardly on each side of the recess. An undercut stiffening flange is formed to extend inwardly from the outward side wall panel, and runs between the upwardly extending portions of the skirt. The undercut flange, together with the skirt and the outward side wall panel defines a rigidifying shell which contributes to the overall stiffness of the bedliner side wall. In addition, the undercut flange obscures and protects a greater portion of the truck bed sidewall sheet metal, thereby contributing to a more attractive bed lining.

The container components are designed for compact storage and easy assembly. The clip used in the container includes a first portion for affixing the clip to the sidewall structure and a second portion having a rigid arm extending from the first portion. A resilient flex arm is attached to the end of the rigid arm farthest the first portion and extends generally toward the first portion. The flex arm has a locking face thereon for engaging an edge of a receiving slot in the pallet. Insertion of the clip into the receiving slot removably interconnects the sidewall structure to the pallet.

摘要： A pickup truck cargo bed liner is disclosed which is particularly constructed for efficiency in shipment and storage, and so that the liner can easily be installed in trucks having top caps. The truck bed liner has a liner bottom wall adapted to fit on and substantially cover the full width of the truck cargo bed floor, the liner bottom wall having a width substantially as great as the width of the truck rear opening. Two liner wheel wells are formed in the liner bottom wall at opposite sides thereof and adapted to accommodate the truck cargo bed rear wheel wells. A liner front wall is connected to and extends upwardly from the liner bottom wall, the liner front wall having an upper margin adapted to fit snugly against the truck cargo bed front wall. Two liner side walls are connected to the liner bottom wall and wheel wells and the liner front wall at opposite sides thereof, the liner front wall substantially limiting the distance between the liner side walls at the front end of the liner. Each liner side wall projects upwardly from the liner bottom wall and adjacent wheel well and has an upper margin which fits snugly against the corresponding truck cargo bed wall beneath the corresponding truck cargo bed side rail, thereby providing an optimum volume of usable cargo space. The liner side walls are inclined outwardly from the liner bottom wall and permit multiple nesting of identical truck cargo bed liners in space efficient relation wherein the bottom walls of the nested liners are in proximity.

摘要： A thermoformed thermoplastic truck bedliner has at least one pair of under-cut load restraint pockets formed by portions of opposed bedliner sidewalls. The pockets are recessed from the sidewall so that a load restraining member such as a 2.times.4 beam may be pressed downwardly to be snapped into engagement with the pockets. The pockets support the boards in a horizontal orientation, with the wide dimension of the board extending from front to back within the liner to give greater board stiffness against loads shifting from front to back. The pockets may be formed in either under the rail bedliners or in over the rail bedliners. In an alternative embodiment, each under-cut pocket is formed in a cross shape such that a board may be positioned horizontally or vertically.
