摘要： A corner die-molding portion of a glass run includes an outer peripheral portion to cover an end flange portion of an outer panel of a door, a holding portion having one end portion connected to an inner surface of the outer peripheral portion, and a supporting portion provided between the holding portion and the inner surface of the outer peripheral portion. An inner space and its opening are provided between the outer peripheral portion and the holding portion such that, when the glass run is attached to a window frame, the end flange portion of the outer panel is inserted into the inner space from the opening, and then the supporting portion is brought into abutment against a tip end of the end flange portion of the outer panel. It is possible to suppress flexural deformation of the outer peripheral portion, thereby improving the glass run in external appearance.

摘要： A method and a device evaluate a processability of a viscoelastic material. A measuring step and means measure a complex viscosity modulus η* and two complex elasticity moduli G*1, G*2 in respective two shear ranges with different shear speeds, by the following: varying a vibration frequency and a vibration amplitude at a given temperature range, and controlling a shear stress applied to the viscoelastic material which is mixed under a given mixing condition. The shear stress causes a reactive stress. The complex viscosity modulus η* and the two complex elasticity moduli G*1, G*2 are measured based on the reactive stress. A first operation operates an apparent activation energy Ea by the following: η*=A·exp(Ea/RT) where T is temperature, R is gas constant, η* is complex viscosity modulus. A second operation operates a complex elasticity modulus change ratio G*r, a ratio between the two complex elasticity moduli G*1, G*2.

摘要： A method of joining end portions of a weatherstrip consists of introducing the end portions to openings in a mold such that a seal portion of the weatherstrip is compressed substantially to the shape of a seal lip of the seal portion. The end portions are separated in the mold by a predetermined gap and a rubber material is injected into the gap for mutually bonding the end portions of the weatherstrip. Such a method of joining allows the weatherstrip to be installed on complexly shaped openings with no degradation of sealing characteristics over the perimeter covered by the weatherstrip. A molding apparatus for joining said end portions includes a clamping member for assuring correct positioning of a sealing edge of the weatherstrip.

摘要： A front door weatherstrip for motor vehicles has a wind-noise suppressing rib formed in a groove portion defined between a hollow sealing lip and a tongue-like sealing lip of the door weatherstrip to serve as a dam against a flow in a longitudinal direction of the groove portion. When these lips are elastically deformed by closing the front door, the wind-noise suppressing rib penetrates into a recess portion of the hollow sealing lip to overlap with the recess portion and to make the flow continuous by a bypass flow through the recess portion. Therefore, the front door weatherstrip is improved in at least drainage property without affecting sealing property and door closure property.

摘要： A window molding installed at a clearance between a front window and a window frame of an automotive vehicle has an upper molding and a side molding continuous in the longitudinal direction. The side molding has a strut portion which is formed between a head portion for covering the clearance and a leg portion inserted to the clearance so that a length of the strut portion and an angle between the head portion and a glass limiting lip connected to the leg portion are gradually increased from an end of the side molding connected to the upper molding to the other end. The window molding is produced by extrusion molding by means of an apparatus using a fixed die head and a movable die head.
