摘要： A filter candle element which is mounted in depending manner in a pressure container has a support body and a filter tissue which covers the support body and has at least one impermeable portion so as to prevent the depositing of a continuous filter cake. Through provision of a plurality of impermeable portions, the filter cake is divided into several pieces which do not obstruct their removal. The impermeable portions are obtained by spraying of synthetic material onto the filter tissue. These filter candle elements are especially suitable for alluvial filters of large dimensions.

摘要： In a method of the separation of yeasts from a fermentation liquor contained in a fermentation tank the fermentation liquor is forced by a pump through a conduit system into a filter container in which the fermentation liquor is forced through a number of vertically suspended candle-like filters so that yeast filter cakes are formed on the filter cloth with water of the filters. The cakes are then washed with water, blown off with pressurized air for dewatering, loosened with a counterflow of a pressurized gas and discharged from the filter container. The filter container is immediately connected to the fermentation tank.

摘要： A clarifying filter-centrifuge comprises a rotatable driving shaft, a closed drum driven by the shaft, a cover which closes the drum at an end face thereof, and a filter diaphragm mounted in the cover and extending normal to an axis of rotation of the shaft. The drum includes an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve coaxial with the outer sleeve and having a thrust body. The driving shaft includes a hollow shaft and an inner shaft axially displaceable in the hollow shaft. The drum is connected to the hollow shaft. Suspension is fed axially into the inner sleeve and flows through distributing channels into the interior of the outer sleeve and then through the filter diaphragm. The cover is displaceable for discharging separated solids from the centrifuge.
