    • The present disclosure describes implementations of audio cables including a conductor spirally wrapped in a non-conductive thread to centrally position the conductor within a channel comprising mostly air, reducing propagation delay and self-inductance compared to cables utilizing non-air dielectric materials that completely surround the conductor. A balanced audio cable includes a radially symmetric filler comprising a plurality of arms forming a corresponding plurality of channels. The cable also includes a plurality of conductors, each approximately centered within a corresponding channel. The cable further includes a plurality of non-conductive threads, each spirally wrapped around a conductor of the plurality of conductors. In some implementations, the cable also includes a jacket surrounding the filler, conductors, and threads.

    • The present disclosure describes a cable designed to minimize values for resistance, inductance, and capacitance, without the trade-offs of typical designs. The cable includes a plurality of conductors for each signal or leg, which may be configured as a braid of three subsets of braids of bonded pairs of insulated conductors. The bonded pairs may be twisted or untwisted, in close proximity such that inductance is reduced via magnetic field cancellation. Each leg may be separate and parallel, rather than interwoven or braided together, increasing the distance between the two signals and reducing capacitance. The legs may be positioned close to each other, such that their magnetic fields cancel to further reduce inductance.

    • A coaxial cable connector for coupling a coaxial cable to a mating connector is disclosed. The coaxial cable connector may include a connector body having a forward end and a rearward cable receiving end for receiving a cable. The connector may include a nut rotatably coupled to the forward end of the connector body and an annular post disposed within the connector body for providing an electrical path between the mating connector and the coaxial cable. The connector may include a biasing element, wherein the biasing element is configured to provide a force to maintain the electrical path between the mating connector and the coaxial cable. In one embodiment, the biasing element is external to the nut and the connector body. In one embodiment, the biasing element surrounds a portion of the nut and/or the connector body.

    • Security systems, including shields, adapters, and/or tools, for limiting access to a coaxial cable connector are provided. A shield comprises an outer shield configured to limit access to the coaxial cable connector. The coaxial cable connector comprises a fastener portion that is configured to be rotatable with respect to a body portion of the coaxial cable connector. The shield further comprises an adapter configured to be coupled to the outer shield. The adapter is configured to engage a side of the fastener portion of the coaxial cable connector. The adapter is further configured to engage a tool configured to rotate the adapter such that, when engaged with both the tool and the fastener portion of the coaxial cable connector, the adapter is configured to rotate the fastener portion of the coaxial cable connector upon rotation of the adapter by the tool.
