    • An image monitoring system includes a first control interface, a second control interface, a recording module, a storage device, and a control circuit. The recording module generates an image monitoring data. The storage device stores the image monitoring data. The control circuit is controlled by the first control interface and the second control interface.     • An apparatus and a method for temporary storage of image-encoding data are provided. The apparatus for temporary storage of image-encoding data is utilized for high-resolution image encoding, wherein the apparatus includes an image sensing unit, a storage unit, and an encoding unit. The image sensing unit creates a plurality of frame data in successive order. Each frame data is composed of a plurality of macroblock row data. The storage unit includes a first storage portion and a second storage portion. The capacities of the first storage portion and the second storage portion are both a positive integral multiple of the size of the macroblock row data. The storage unit receives the macroblock row data from the image sensing unit and writes the macroblock row data into one of the first storage portion and the second storage portion. When the encoding unit reads the written macroblock row data from one of the first storage portion and the second storage portion, the storage unit simultaneously receives new macroblock row data from the image sensing unit and writes the new macroblock row data to the other one of the first storage portion and the second storage portion. The design of the first storage portion and the second storage portion is utilized to conserve storage space.

    • A null detector and its corresponding method are provided. The null detector includes a power detector, a smoother, and an overlapper. The power detector outputs a power level signal according to the power level of a received signal. The smoother is coupled to the power detector for determining according to the power level signal whether the received signal is transmitting a null symbol, and then the smoother outputs a null detection signal at a first state value or a second state value indicating the result of the determination. The overlapper is coupled to the smoother for providing the duration and position of the null symbols transmitted by the received signal according to the null detection signal.

    • A mobile communication terminal system includes a serial interface port, a multimedia output/input module, a multimedia processor, a frequency-signal output/input module, and a baseband processor. The serial interface port is coupled to a computer system via a serial interface. The multimedia output/input module provides a first input signal. The multimedia processor processes the first input signal to generate a first serial interface signal. The frequency-signal output/input module provides a second input signal. The baseband processor processes the second input signal to generate a second serial interface signal to the multimedia processor. The multimedia processor selectively establishes one of a communication connection between the multimedia processor and the serial interface port and a communication connection between the baseband processor and the serial interface port to correspondingly output one of the first serial interface signal and the second serial interface signal to the computer system via the serial interface port.
