摘要： An indicator display tube in which indicator electrode units, each consisting of anode and cathode segments, lie in the same plane and in which all of the cathode segments are simultaneously energized and the anode electrodes are energized on a time sequential basis in such a manner that only the indicator electrode unit having its anode electrodes energized will glow at a particular time. The cathode segments of each indicator unit are connected in parallel which substantially reduces the number of leads to the display tube over conventional indicators which require a separate lead for energizing each of the cathode segments. The indicator display tube has means for preventing accidental discharge of adjacent indicator electrode units which would produce erroneous message displays.

摘要： A method of fabricating a thermal printing head by printing a circuit pattern of resistive elements and electric conductors on one surface of a flat paper sheet, covering the circuit pattern and surface of the flat paper sheet with a carrier layer of a substantially transparent methacrylic acid resin, peeling off the flat paper sheet, placing the remaining carrier layer carrying the circuit pattern over a surface of a pre-shaped insulating substrate with the circuit pattern being laid downward, and heating the carrier layer placed on the substrate to cause the carrier layer to be burned off and cause the circuit pattern to adhere to the surface of the substrate.

摘要： An electron gun used in a cathode ray tube, for example, color television picture tube, is disclosed. The electron gun has a plurality of electrodes aligned in one direction along an axis of a neck portion of the cathode ray tube. Each of the electrodes is supplied with a suitable potential for focusing and accelerating an electron beam derived by a cathode. A resistance element which comprises a ceramic substrate coated with a layer of resistive material is provided along and adjacent to the electrodes in the cathode ray tube. One end of the resistance element is electrically connected to the anode potential, and another end is connected to a stem lead pin which is at a substantially low enough potential to avoid mutual electric discharge between stem lead pins. Suitable potential for the selective electrodes is derived from intermediate taps of the resistor and electrode material are composed of a mixture of RuO.sub.2 and glass frit. The resistor is overcoated with a glass layer on the surface of the layer of resistive material and the coefficient of thermal expansion of the substrate and glass layer chosen to be similar.

摘要： A flat thermionic cathode is provided with a substrate having at least one main heating element thereon to produce at least one substantially localized area of heat and a sub-heating element to substantially define a heating area, the localized area being produced within the heating area. A cathode element including electron emissive material is disposed at the localized area. While the localized area tends to produce a temperature gradient directed from the localized area toward the perimeter of the substrate so as to create thermal stress in the substrate along the perimeter thereof, the sub-heating element reduces this temperature gradient and, consequently, the thermal stress.
