摘要： A transmission apparatus includes a plurality of antennas and a frame configurator that selects, in a first unit time either a first transmitting method which transmits a modulated signal from at least one of the plurality of antennas, or a second transmitting method which transmits a plurality of modulated signals from the plurality of antennas, for a first carrier group arranged for a first terminal and either the first transmitting method or the second transmitting method for a second carrier group arranged for a second terminal. The frame configurator selects, in a second unit time either the first transmitting method or the second transmitting method for the first carrier group arranged for a third terminal and either the first transmitting method or the second transmitting method for the second carrier group arranged for a fourth terminal, wherein each of carrier groups includes one or more sub-carriers.

The method includes composing a plurality of carrier groups each including one or more subcarriers and assigning transmission data for a plurality of transmission destination terminals, to the plurality of carrier groups, on a basis of one carrier group for one transmission destination terminal basis. The method further includes selecting, for each of the carrier groups, one of a first frame configuration where the transmission data is transmitted using one modulated signal, and a second frame configuration where the transmission data is transmitted using a plurality of modulated signals and transmitting the assigned transmission data of the plurality of transmission destination terminals at a same time on a time axis.

摘要： A method for generating a transmission signal to transmit a modulated signal generated using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, from a transmitting apparatus with a plurality of antennas, toward a plurality of terminals. The method includes assigning transmission data for the plurality of terminals to a plurality of carrier groups, each carrier group including a plurality of carriers and selecting, from the plurality of antennas, an antenna to be used for transmission toward each of the plurality of terminals. As a transmission mode for each of the plurality of carrier groups, a selection is made of one of a first transmission mode, in which one modulated signal is transmitted, and a second transmission mode in which a plurality of modulated signals are transmitted by using the selected antennas. A transmission signal is generated for transmitting the transmission data assigned to the plurality of carrier groups during an identical time period, using the selected transmission mode.

摘要： A method for communicating in a communication apparatus includes receiving an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal transmitted from a base station, the OFDM signal including a plurality of carrier groups, each carrier group including a plurality of carriers. The plurality of carrier groups are assigned transmission data for a plurality of communication apparatuses, and each of the plurality of carrier groups adopts one of a first transmission mode in which the transmission data is transmitted using one modulated signal and a second transmission mode in which the transmission data is transmitted using a plurality of modulated signals. A carrier group, to which transmission data for the communication apparatus is assigned, is specified based on control information included in the received OFDM signal. Reception data associated with the specified carrier group is generated by decoding the one modulated signal used in the first transmission mode, when the first transmission mode is adopted for the specified carrier group, and reception data associated with the specified carrier group is generated by decoding the plurality of modulated signals used in the second transmission mode when the second transmission mode, is adopted for the specified carrier group.

摘要： A method for receiving modulation signals includes receiving a plurality of multiplexed modulation signals each transmitted from multiple antennas of a communication partner, wherein each modulation signal includes a pilot symbol sequence consisting of plural pilot symbols used for demodulation. Each of the pilot symbol sequences is inserted at the same temporal points in the each modulation signal. The pilot symbol sequences are orthogonal to each other with zero cross correlation among the plurality of modulation signals, each pilot symbol having a non-zero amplitude, the quantity of the plural pilot symbols in each sequence being greater than the quantity of the plurality of transmitted modulation signals. The method further includes estimating a transmission path distortion of the each modulation signal based on the plurality of received multiplexed modulation signals; and demodulating the each modulation signal including the plurality of received multiplexed modulation signals using the transmission path distortion.
